Re: 2009 Audi A4 Avant - HAULN-SS - 01-27-2015 I think you're looking at this through the lens of poor people and android users. You need to let up off some of that cash bro, and go for it on something you really want! Re: 2009 Audi A4 Avant - Mike - 01-27-2015 Please. It's still an Audi. Re: 2009 Audi A4 Avant - Mike - 01-27-2015 Maybe I should YOLO the bitch and get a Tesla? Because https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LpaLgF1uLB8. Re: 2009 Audi A4 Avant - Jake - 01-28-2015 What's the problem with just keeping this one and paying to repair a few things as they need repair post-CPO? I have to think that's cheaper in the long run versus paying registration/taxes on a newer vehicle again. Then again, I'm poor and an iPhone user so I must be perpetually conflicted. We pay the full 9.5% sales tax on new cars. :vomit: Re: 2009 Audi A4 Avant - Mike - 01-28-2015 WRXtranceformed Wrote:Mike Wrote:Maybe I should YOLO the bitch and get a Tesla? Seems legit. Maybe you missed these parts? "One of the cool things about this car is that when it does need to be serviced by a mechanic, a company rep comes with a trailer and picks it up, delivering it back when the work is doneāall free." "Under warranty, Tesla replaced the drive unit, which is essentially the car's entire drivetrain--motor, inverter, and gearbox." "And in all cases, the drive units were replaced under warranty, and didn't cost the owner a cent." Also, very much joking about getting one. I could get a couple of perfectly running A4s for parts and still come out ahead. By my estimation, the car has had a few thousand in repairs in the year I've had it. That's not going to fly, and it is fair to assume it's only going to get worse with years and miles. We have no state income tax, so it's pretty much a wash. Re: 2009 Audi A4 Avant - Mike - 01-30-2015 So this makes me feel a little better about the car: http://www.autoblog.com/2015/01/29/safe ... 011-study/. I'm almost guaranteed to not die in it. I take that with a grain of salt, but it's still pretty amazing. All-Road might be tempting, but they start at 42k and for the amount we drive, that kind of payment makes no sense. Shit, the only car that really makes sense is a Jetta Sportwagen TDI (space, fuel economy, modern), but she demands those memory seats. Ugh. Q5 also a possibility as I really liked the loaner I had. CX5 can be had for low 20s nicely optioned now so that's in the running. Re: 2009 Audi A4 Avant - .RJ - 01-30-2015 Mike Wrote:but she demands those memory seats. Ugh. You gotta be fucking kidding me. Please, like an Audi would have some sort of mechanism in which you had to exert real effort to move the seat  Re: 2009 Audi A4 Avant - Mike - 02-02-2015 .RJ Wrote:Mike Wrote:but she demands those memory seats. Re: 2009 Audi A4 Avant - BLINGMW - 02-02-2015 1) Any car with power seats should have power memory seats (and mirrors), no excuse. Our 14yr old BMW does, would be one of the features I'd miss on a lot of replacements we've considered. 2) That Tesla video was great. Yeah, get that! Re: 2009 Audi A4 Avant - Mike - 02-02-2015 .RJ Wrote:And no, we dont share a car, there's no need to. So I guess you wouldn't understand how annoying it'd be to have to redo your seat every time you got into it. |
