What made the Wii successful was its appeal to non-gamers and family gaming. That's been replaced by iOS and Android.

I think it's the fact that the Wii U doesn't have a unique gimmick that draws in those buyers like the original Wii did. I am one of the biggest proponents of the AC series, but I have to be honest I think the last one fell flat on its face. And I can't pinpoint WHY. I genuinely tried to get through it but it is just not compelling to me for some reason. Maybe its because any free time I have that I want to be on the XBOX it's going to be on COD...I don't know. I'll probably buy AC IV but I hope to God it is better than the last one.

Unlocked the gold MP7 and gold XPR-50 finally yesterday. Making a push for diamond sniper rifles and shotties but it's going to take me a while with my rate of play.

Three gold shotguns down, one to go for diamond. The two pumps took the longest simply because getting Bloodthirsty medals with only a shotgun is definitely a challenge
I have gotten REALLY good with shotties though!
Have also been messing around with the crossbow. I didn't realize how legit it is until you unlock Tribolt. I'd like to get a gold crossbow but some of the skin unlocks are ridiculous.

So far Microsoft has been vague and circuitous about how used games and DRM are actually going to work. Which probably means that people are going to hate it, so they're trying to delay the negative PR as long as possible. Either that, or they're still trying to test the public's response to see what they can get away with.
The other option is maybe it's plain ol' incompetence. There may be a clear answer but they totally fucked up in communicating that.
