Yesterday I had an older guy come in to where I work to look at helmets and what not. We got to talking and when asked about the usage of the helmet, he said he was buying one for some shakedown runs of his cars being built in Las Vegas.
"911's" he says.
Ah.
"With Chevy V8's"
Oh.
If I understood him correctly, he owns a LS3-powered 996, and a LS7-powered 997, among a slew of previous (maybe some current?) V8 914's. He was happy to give me a bunch of pics and talk about the process enough to completely derail me from work :lol: In the photos you can see his friend Pete Brock stopped by to check out the process. The purple 930 has a dry-sump LS7 built for someone else who I'm told lives in the Great Falls area.

4 looks much better in yellow than the 5.
Edit: Kinda been diggin' on those 4 wheels for the GTI.

...and yeah, I'm not that crazy about the 5 in yellow. I prefer white and black but was too lazy to find a good picture.

I'm with you man, as much flak as the IS-F gets for being slightly less competent than the M3 in most respects and harsher to drive, I have always loved Lexus's and hope to own a car like that once the TL-S goes to the grave. There is a blue one here in Ballantyne that is so sick.
