Lauren wants a Pre-1980 242 pretty badly. I do too.

Paul Galleron actually has one that he's building for his wife... very slow project but will be cool when it's all done!

Also, this was at the recent Refrigerator Bowl autocross I attended at Summit Point - turbo and automatic but he was killing it for times!

The NSX configurator is live 48 hours ahead of schedule. You want floor mats? That'll be $1200 please.

IIRC the car in those photos has an S52 swapped into it, which just makes sense for me. If I had that thing I'd just spin the coils up a few clicks and throw a slightly meatier tire on it and we'd be good to go, I love everything else about it.

What I'm perplexed about is the fact that steel brakes won't be available until late this year. That means you're starting out with a $10,000 option. I'm definitely going to ask about that tomorrow/Thursday.

Re: Automotive News Discussion - Jake - 02-24-2016

Got mine said and done at $204,200. I like carbon fiber. Although I could have come in under $200k if I wasn't forced to spend my imaginary money on $10k carbon ceramic brakes!

Re: Automotive News Discussion - davej - 02-24-2016

And you could have 3 or 4 really nice examples for the price of one of these new ones. :| I'll split them with you.

Re: Automotive News Discussion - JustinG - 02-25-2016

Non pearl white with Ebony interior + CF all the things = $200,500

The exterior stripes are meh, but the hounds tooth seats do all the right things for me.

Re: Automotive News Discussion - WRXtranceformed - 03-01-2016

^^ And overheating and towing to the dealer, included at no extra charge

In other news, the new Aston Martin dropped and they put a PROPER powerplant in the thing! Twin turbo V12 with 600hp/516tq, ZF 8 speed to handle the power and probably more if you wanted to tune it. I like the way it looks, but not quite as much as the prior models for some reason. I would definitely not kick it out of bed though!!!

The overheating on the Z06 has to do with the intercooler from what I've read. Considering this one doesn't have a supercharger, it should be just fine.
