Thank fucking god someone brighter than the idiots at SEMA got the EPA to comment on this. And thank you Lee for posting this. Our work here is done.

As that road & track article states, good on SEMA for bringing it to light in the first place. Stupid shit happens in politics if no ones paying attention.

No one talking about the Model3 only being $35k before incentives? That's rad. Going to be under $30k brand new...

You are now banned from Tesla Motors.

I mean, Elon Musk is an incredible dude. But as they say, great men are rarely good men.

I think Teslas are dope though, I'd buy one.

Re: Automotive News Discussion - CaptainHenreh - 02-11-2016

In fact, pending incentives, styling, performance and whatnot I'm actually tempted to put a grand down on a preorder. But just the same, Musk is a big of a dick.

Re: Automotive News Discussion - Jake - 02-11-2016

I'm only interested in a Tesla when they remove the stupid fucking iPad from the dashboard. Give me real buttons.

You won't.

Probably not. I'll find some reason to talk myself out of it.

But I oughta.

That's an odd thing to completely avoid a very expensive car for.

So saying you won't won't actually make you get one? Soiled it.

Re: Automotive News Discussion - Ken - 02-11-2016

Since it will fit nicely with my timeline for a new purchase i'll definitely take a look at it. If for nothing else, HOV lane privileges.

No it's not. User experience matters to me, a lot. I'm not the biggest fan of touchscreens in cars in general (I also think BMW iDrive is fantastic UX) and having a 13" touchscreen where every single thing feels the same and requires you to divert your attention/eyes to do literally anything with the car is a horrible, terrible, no-good example of how to build a dashboard.

At the very least, put some buttons/knobs on the dash for basics, like volume, seek, fan speed, and temperature.

Re: Automotive News Discussion - Senor_Taylor - 02-11-2016

I agree with the touchscreen sentiment. I hate dealing with the touchscreen I put in my truck after using the buttons in the e46. It takes so much effort to do anything.

Agreed.

I thought the toggle switches in the new Mustang I tested out last month were one of the cooler aspects of that cars interior. Def gives it an old school feel. Would have been so easy to just bury those switch controls into one of the many menus in the SYNC/MyFord Touch instrument cluster display.

I mean c'mon whats wrong with this?

Re: Automotive News Discussion - BLINGMW - 02-11-2016

that GT dash is sweet, I didn't know the Mustang had some of that going on too. Yeah f a big touch screen, but the model 3 could otherwise be great.
