Not sure what you mean, I'm aware it's an anecdotal story about one person's experience, not a statistical study.

It's just an interesting read, regardless of how widespread (or not) of a problem it is. The story that really got me was when he beeped at someone that wouldn't pull out and the guy raged the fuck out at the woman in the car between them, but had nothing to say to the actual horn-beeper when he turned out to be a 240lb guy. I guess there's a certain type of bag-of-shit person out there that takes any opportunity they can get to demonstrate power over a woman?

I hope if that ever happens to any of the women in my life they run over the fucker's foot. Also God have mercy on the man that tries to pull that off on my Mom. She'd have him pissing on himself in the middle of the street in about four seconds.

I was just discussing how the guy basically generalizes men will express road rage more agressively against women all the time from his general experience. It just doesn't make the argument or article really all that valid or convincing. Although like I said it wouldn't surprise and it is wrong if that's the case. It's just impossible to say just because he looks like a female means he has more road rage against him.

And it makes sense though that the dude who raged against the 2nd driver. Think of it from if you were the guy raging. Okay fuck this person behind me honking at me. Oh wait I fucked up, kinda embarrassing. Just going to act like nothing happened. It seems like something typical would happen regardless of sex. Idk. Maybe I'm wrong. That's just the way I see it.

i think the elephant in the room here is the fact that just about every guy i know assumes pretty much 100% of women are hopeless behind the wheel and more interested in their hair and texting their BFF, at all times.

if there's an altercation in traffic, between a man and a woman, the deck is already stacked against her.

i had planned to read the book for years, but now that i've seen the show and other people have actually started reading the book and not really caring for it, i think imma pass.

I'm well aware of the green shit our planet is covered in. Clearly it isn't doing a good enough job to keep up with our C02 output.

Oh sure, if it wasn't that we are also tearing those down too...

"In the last few decades, the vast majority of deforestation has occurred in the tropics - and the pace still accelerates. The removal of tropical forests in Latin America is proceeding at a pace of about 2% per year. In Africa, the pace is about 0.8% per year and in Asia it is 2% per year."

The trees need to keep up with us, duh. God gave us earth, devil broke the trees.

Nature already solved this with the Empress tree, they absorb 5-10X the CO2 of most tress. Just upgrade all trees to those and we can drive whatever we want. :dunno:

2017 Vin #001 NSX just hammered for $1.2 million at Barret Jackson. Proceeds going to pediatric brain tumor foundation which is awesome. But damn I didn't expect it to get that high.

Most all of the charity vehicles are tax write offs. The "winner" writes their check out to the charity not Barrett-Jackson thus the over inflated values on these sales. Rick Hendrick and others like him love these kind of auctions.

Re: Automotive News Discussion - JPolen01 - 01-30-2016

Well yeah it's obviously not worth that. I was just surprised to see the "donation" get that high. Gotta beat the tax man somehow!

Re: Automotive News Discussion - WRXtranceformed - 01-30-2016

Rich people problems. "Buying" the first NSX to lessen the blow from Uncle Sam. Tough life

Re: Automotive News Discussion - JPolen01 - 01-30-2016

The Internet says it was Rick Hendrick.

Re: Automotive News Discussion - WRXtranceformed - 01-30-2016

He's definitely rich

The new Range Rover Sport SVR makes an absolutely filthy racket. It's like the industrial revolution distilled into one sound.

Re: Automotive News Discussion - SlimKlim - 02-02-2016

I'm not sure I could handle owning one even if I had the money for it, I'd get too many looks scolding my generic looking SUV for being naughty.

so naughty
