Re: Project CB750 - Dave - 11-26-2011

I've always loved this project - will be very sad to see it go.
My vote is drain the liquids and make it a conversation peice in the living room until you have somewhere better to store it...

Re: Project CB750 - .RJ - 03-13-2012

Surprise! Still havent sold it. Still riding it... and I've run out of little things to fix. Should probably sell it now.

Or keep it and ride it now that its sorted? For reals though if you do post it up, I might be able to berate someone into it

Who? Probably go on craigslist, and then if no serious interest on to ebay.

Either my brother or my dad  Both LOVE cafe-racer type bikes (and they're growing on me)

Re: Project CB750 - .RJ - 03-14-2012

Do you want me to send you the ad I've written up and set of pictures?

Re: Project CB750 - Goodspeed - 03-14-2012

Sure. I can't promise anything but I'd love to show it to them.

Re: Project CB750 - .RJ - 03-26-2012

Well, the bike sold this evening. Had one last blast on it to take it to its new owner...

Its been a fun ride. I cant believe I had it for 5 years. A little sad now... but I'll just have to start a new project Smile

Re: Project CB750 - ScottyB - 03-26-2012

Sad

if the next project is anything as cool as this one was....

Re: Project CB750 - .RJ - 03-26-2012

My last ride on it tonight was a cool late evening ride into DC, and as luck had it I went through a short (maybe 100 yards) tunnel under a traffic circle. So, I eased up, slowed down, dropped it into 2nd gear and rolled the throttle to the stop going in, in to 3rd gear, 4th gear and then clear of the other side. I have no idea how fast I was going, just held on with it wide open, smiled and enjoyed the glorious noise reverberating through the tunnel. Proper send off. I'll remember that last ride for quite a while.

So true.

Re: Project CB750 - SlimKlim - 03-27-2012

I almost cried.

Re: Project CB750 - .RJ - 03-27-2012

If any of yuns sees a cheap CB350 (twin cylinder) for sale, let me know. Running bike preferred, but will take a project if its cheap. Everything will get stripped/modified/repainted anyways.
