I've never had my own office... or even my own cube. My last job I had a big shared office (it was like romper room) with a window which was pretty cool until we moved.

I need to see that shrink that was in Office Space Wink

- ViPER1313 - 08-31-2007

I have an interior office to myself, and it sucks. A lot. Truthfully I prefer having a shared office most of the time - keeps me focused

I have an interior closet, shared with 2 other guys - constantly invaded by inconsiderate assholes that tend to make a lot of noise and are pretty disruptive.

It sucks far worse.

- Hunter - 08-31-2007

I've got a view of a parking lot and there's a new silver M5 starring me in the face, with an 87 M6 a few spots down. It's quite distracting. (although not as much as the internet.)

That's what happens when you do contract work.

All the interior offices around here are usually shared. To be honest I'd rather have my window cube. I'm on the second floor in the front of the building so I get to see visitors and all the ladies from across the street walk over to the gym.

Its your fault for not getting me a job @ AOL!

- Apoc - 08-31-2007

I can't help that we haven't hired a person in the US in 2 years.

Not sure if you can tell but that poster on the wall is Office Space.

office reviews? i'm in.

aol #1 - interior cube. 6/10
aol #2 - same cube style as chris (1/2 size, but window) - 7/10
aol #3 - same as aol #1
anystream #1 - shared window office... room for 2, but eventually increased to 4. 7/10 to 4/10
anystream #2 - my own office, windowless, leading to network room (noisy). 7/10
anystream #3 - shared corner window office. 8/10
grouplogic #1 - windowless, shared, unprepared, crappy desk and chair office... a move is scheduled by the end of the year so this will change, but for now, not so good. 3/10

- WRXtranceformed - 08-31-2007

My office is pretty much as comfy as it can get. A fully furnished study with cherry built-in bookcases, nice wooden furniture, a big plush executive chair and FiOS internet in the study of a $700k+ house in the middle of a wooded community near Oatlands =D

Very nice, how much!!??

- WRXtranceformed - 08-31-2007

There is a BIG ass praying mantis on the transom window over the front door of this house right now. I'm talking like almost as long as my hand. That's like the Supra of the insect world right there!

- Mike - 08-31-2007

nah, skyline.

- WRXtranceformed - 08-31-2007

Those mandibles are pretty JDM.

Office #4 - 38th floor view of Lake Michigan, the park and most of chicago. 8/10

you guys have no fucking idea

I sit in a room in a server lab that used to be a storage room. No windows. Small and narrow.
Shared with 6 IT toolbags who are stupid enough to think their job is hard
I sit right by the door with the servers and A/C unit right outside.
door open: hurricane in my ear and 40 degrees. door closed: hot as africa and body odor from IT guys.
Tiny desk that barely fits a keyboard and a monitor
IT douchebags always knock into my chair as they go inand out of the room. they are constantly going in and out of the room.
They have several very loud meetings talking right next to me every day because they are too fucking stupid to know how to read a document to do their jobs.

my office at the other location I should be working at most of the time is heaven. huge L desk, window, my own A/C unit, 24" AND 19" monitors........arrrggg

- HAULN-SS - 08-31-2007

LM #1) First floor 5 person cube, but i was the only on there most of the time: 6/10

LM #2) 5th floor interior cube, opening to the main hallway..so basically no privacy: 3/10

LM #3) Interior cube in a low-traffic area, but very spacious and nice chairs (brand new building): 8/10

sounds like you get to spend some time at the other location, right? if so at least it's not a total loss.

i certainly can't complain right now. big office, 3 desks, big monitor, bookcase and 2 windows. thing is though, our building is under construction (and most likely will be until the day i leave) so it looks like crap.

my former "office" sucked monster donkey d. it was a small reception desk shared with my whiny, elitist, faux-intellectual a-hole bitch co-worker. then every 2 minutes getting up to greet whiny, elitist, faux-intellectual a-hole customers and answer their idiotic questions.
