true. but i think when gibbs came in he made it clear that he intends to win now and not spend 3 years or so rebuilding.

but I think the end result is going to be neither.... which has been status quo ever since Snyder took over.

I think Jimmy Johnson said it best before the game ever started and they were having JB, Howie, Bradshaw et al call the game. After everyone said "Cowboys", he pretty much said "It's an NFC East division game, anything could happen."

I think Campbell is doing exceptionally well behind a hurting offensive line. He's still making rookie mistakes but so is Romo (nice 40 yard hail mary after that super botched snap). One is the pet project of Bill Parcells, the other one is the by product of a starting position battle between Ramsey and Brunell.

Campbell would have some better stats if Moss hadn't been stone handing passes for the last four games he was a part of. I'm glad he decided to come out in the second half and finally catch one. I was really worried he was going to let one bounce off his facemask again.

I think the Redskins still have some super shitty play calling and time management problem, and what the hell happened to the defense from two years ago? Did the "blitz" section Williams' playbook fall out?

In the last 2 losses Campbell completed 64% of his passes, threw for nearly 600 yards, and threw 5 touchdowns and 1 interception. What more do you want the guy to do? Make 13 tackles on defense too?

He's been holding up his end of the bargain recently, I think he needs a bigger target at wide receiver to throw the ball to especially in the redzone. Our short fast guys are great until we get into the redzone, then like clockwork our offense stalls and we settle for a field goal. Hell, the entire red zone offense consists of coach joe putting in the fattest guys he has and then running straight forward.

Why didn't they go for it on 4th and inches from the 35 yard line? That's the ideal situation to go for it on 4th down. Suisham would have to hit a 50 yard field goal (missed), and they can't settle for field goals against a high scoring team like dallas. You have to take some risks if you're going to win these close games.

I'm pretty sure not turning over the ball inside 3 minutes when they had a chance to go ahead would be a start.

edit: fumble @ 2:33 vs Eagles, INT @ 1:50 vs Cowboys

I obviously admit that was a dumb play, he should have just run the ball and picked up the first down. However they were only in that position because he had made a whole series of great throws and clutch third down plays. And in the previous drive he was perfect as they went straight down the field and scored within 2 minutes.

He kept the redskins in that game when they had no business being in it. Did you guys even think they had a chance after TO scored his 4th touchdown? He showed a lot of positives in the 4th quarter of the game, with real bad play at the end.

P.S. Terrible Owens is a total douche...

"This is one of the greatest games, really, that I feel like I've played in, just me coming through in the clutch."

As a matter of fact I did. My dad was at my house watching the game and to quote myself, "This isn't over yet. It's not time to relax. The defense hasn't showed they can stop anything today and there's plenty of time for them to score again."

Sadly, I was right.

I'll still stand by the fact that he played more than well enough for the team to win those games. The D gave up still 20 points in the 4th quarter against the eagles, and allowed TO to catch 4 TDs. You don't win games when you let that happen.

Also the fumble against the eagles was on a 4th down, when he was about to be sacked because there was a total breakdown in protection. If he hadn't tried to just get rid of the ball the eagles would have gotten the ball right there anyway.

Its a NFC east game... I never write off the games... never.

who saw the video (that i cant find now) where TO asks Jerry Jones for a ride home after the game? i hope he was kidding.

i dont know where you got that quote from... but he was misquoted there.

"This is one of the greatest games that I've played in," Owens said. "Really, it's just about me coming through in the clutch for the team. I pride myself to make plays for the team and when my number is called and the opportunity is there for us to make plays, I know that's my job."

I guess that's what happens when the quote comes from a redskins beat writer. I guess the quote was technically correct, but not exactly complete.

- Feersty - 11-19-2007

I wanted the Redskins to win, but when it comes to Fantasy everything kinda gets thrown out the window.

- Hunter - 11-19-2007

Feersty, you're MM fantasy team has Tom Brady on it. It doesn't matter how anyone else does, you're probably going to win anyway.

- John - 11-19-2007

Wow, some much hate while I was away at the client all day. Confusedhrug:

I can't take anyone seriously who thinks Brunell did a good job for the Redskins. Wink

Hey, he set a NFL record for consecutive completions in a game! :-D

- Apoc - 11-25-2007

Not lookin' so good today. Tongue

- Hunter - 11-25-2007

Worst half ever.

At least the defense held them to field goals 4 out of 5 times.

- Mike - 11-25-2007

if you prepare yourself for comedy rather than football, you're not too bad off Tongue

- Evan - 11-25-2007

pathetic. fire the whole offense.
