My best friend, who is not a beer drinker, brought me a 6 pack of Guinness Blonde when he came to meet Bradley. Wow does it suck. It just has zero redeeming qualities. On the other hand, the new Guinness brewery is 5 minutes from my house. The facility is really nice - huge outdoor area with a couple of bars, big indoor bar, taproom, and a nice restaurant. Had brunch there and everything was really good. Need to go back for dinner.

They have about 20 different beers on tap and a lot of experimental stuff. They make a good IPA, saison, and decent sour. I tried their Crosslands Pale Ale because my brother in law's brother supplies the malt used in this one. Not a huge fan of pale ales, but I would drink it again. If you're in the Baltimore area I would definitely stop by. The brewery tour is supposed to be very cool, but I have not done that yet.

Sorry, but there's only one Guinness I'm drinking.

Blonde Guinness? Put that next to Yellow Oreos, Vanilla Frostys and New Coke on the "don't fuck with a good thing" shelf.

It's for the Americans guys. Come on.

So are Porsche SUVs. Doesn't mean I want one.

I do wonder how different regular Guinness tastes brewed here vs. Ireland. I think there's a definite difference between Guinness in Europe and Guinness in America... maybe freshness or something. Been to Dublin twice, but the best pint of Guinness I've ever had was at a small restaurant on the outskirts of London.

Guinness IPA makes me want to yell at clouds more than most things.

Oh no. Don't get the whole, "it's different in Europe," conversation started again.

Oh no! White Claw (claims) it outsold Budweiser in July. Millenials are coming for beer next!

Talking about hitting the jackpot with that dude who made the whiteclaw skit right as it was getting traction. I doubt it's a trend that's here to stay though. Wonder what the big thing next summer will be? Will Winecoolers make a comeback?

Some of the white claw memes are uh... questionable material.

I don't have the patience to figure out where talked about mead, so I'm posting here. Anyway, I remember someone asked if mead was the new things and someone said it was too expensive to produce. Well, Seattle loves expensive and kitsch... so here's what they have at a relatively new Nordic bar.

Meade is gross. That is all.

RE: Roast or Toast - The Beer Trolling Thread - HAULN-SS - 09-21-2019

Those prices don't look too bad, but meade sucks, so i guess it don't matter.

RE: Roast or Toast - The Beer Trolling Thread - Apoc - 09-21-2019

Maybe you guys should try mead instead?

If anyone is ever Seattle and want to do a brewery crawl, let me know.

A buddy of mine dropped off a 12 pack Troegs sampler pack for referring him a full bathroom gut and remodel (I think my referral bonus was a little lopsided but that's another story). Anyway, I like Troegs, not a huge fan so I don't really buy it. However, I am really enjoying their winter IPA, Blizzard of Hops. It's citrus-y, but also almost an earthy/pine flavor. Easy to drink. Only 80 IBU so on the lesser end of bitterness. Would recommend. [Image: a63bc56a0e69a18f2877cba7f30e60b8.jpg]
