Can't ship it USPS anyway. (assuming it's a handgun)

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 09-24-2013

Yeah has to be private carrier like FedEx and even they require you send it out of specific designated facilities and declare what it is.

If it's insured for replacement cost, I'm not sure it makes a difference... unless you're worried about it ending up in the wrong hands versus yours. Guns are shipped every day, so I'm not sure the risk is even really there.

FedEx or UPS and you have to send it via one of their own shops, not a third party branded. Declaring amounts to verbally stating what it is.

this. i'll just avoid brandishing in IL and i think i'll be alright. law is fuzzy in that dumbassed state. the site reads something like "you're allowed to drive through in your car due to federal law and you're allowed to have it in your hotel room, but that space from car to hotel room is a bit of an unknown." lolwtfbbq.

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 10-07-2013

Recommendations on what yardage to sight my scope in with the 10/22? I am familiar with the zeroing ranges for a high powered AR but I am having a hard time figuring out what range to use for the .22. I had it I thought dialed in but all of my shots were falling down and to the left at any distance past like 7 yards to about 30.

My scope is 1-9x. Any recommendations on what magnification to start the sighting in process? Would it change each magnification level I go? I don't have much experience with powered scopes hence the questions.

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - V1GiLaNtE - 10-07-2013

25 yds is a good start.. I I have the same Simmons and it'll put 5 shots together in the size of a quarter or less if you take your time.

Also, check your mounts. They're not the highest of quality and can move around. If it's shooting low left, just walk the grouping up to dead center?

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 10-07-2013

Hm yeah after the locktite the rail stayed on fine but I didn't mess with the mounts much. I'm going to have to just sit down with a sighting target again @ 25 yards

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - JustinG - 10-07-2013

Sold the hatchpile...bought a Shield 9mm. Need to shoot it soon. Ordered a nate holster. Currently looking into OWB holsters. Suggestions are welcome.

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 10-07-2013

You could have bought my N2 holster. I don't really like it. I use an uncle mike's now because it's a lot less bulky and a lot lighter

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - JustinG - 10-07-2013

Oh well.....which N2 do you have?

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 10-07-2013

Whatever one is made to fit the shield loaded with extended or regular mag

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - JustinG - 10-07-2013

elastic or plastic?

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 10-07-2013

It's got the leather back and i think the elastic, I'll have to dig it out of the stuff I don't use pile

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - JustinG - 10-07-2013

so for OWB, im thinking.....

Fobus paddle - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.amazon.com/Fobus-Standard-Holster-SWMP-compact/dp/B001DCD6JG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1381200939&sr=8-1&keywords=m%26p+shield+holster">http://www.amazon.com/Fobus-Standard-Ho ... ld+holster</a><!-- m -->

Open to other suggestions....

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Ryan T - 10-07-2013

If it's for anything other than range duty don't get the Fobus paddle holster. Cheap, retention isn't fantastic, bulky on the belt. Question though, if you want to carry owb, why not getting some bigger/with more magazine capacity?

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - JustinG - 10-07-2013

I have my fullsize to carry owb, just want the option to with the shield.

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Apoc - 10-08-2013

What are people paying these days for 9mm? The best I can find is about 34 cents/round, shipping included. :?

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 10-08-2013

Ouch...9mm has come back down in this area. I want to say like $.23/$/24 round for federal

yeah, I paid .32 per shipped for 400 rounds of 124gr from PSA last month. :|

ammoman is even more than that when they are in stock

still beats paying .40 per at the range though
