Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 03-03-2013 I found a place that has a few CMMG .22LR conversion kits in stock. Does not include a new barrel or the rest of the upper though. I thought I heard you absolutely should have a dedicated barrel for that round when switching to a different caliber. Truth or fiction? Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - JustinG - 03-03-2013 If you are gonna shoot a crap ton of 22 you should do a dedicated upper. Other wise just plinking every now and then your fine. How much are they
Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 03-03-2013 Nice...Alpha is $195 + shipping, Bravo is $225.95 plus shipping. I've got a 5% off discount code. Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - JustinG - 03-03-2013 Awfully tempting..... Link? Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 03-03-2013 JustinG Wrote:Awfully tempting.....You've got PM. Just found a Lancer clear mag, bought the last one~ Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - CaptainHenreh - 03-03-2013 WRXtranceformed Wrote:JustinG Wrote:Awfully tempting.....You've got PM. You can shoot pretty much as much .22lr as you want, it won't hurt it. You won't, however, get fantastic, shoot-the-wings-off-a-fly accuracy due to the long lead to the rifling, improper bore size, and the wrong bullet twist. It'll be enough for the indoor range though, and a shitload cheaper than 5.56. I'd probably only use it with a chrome lined barrel, as there's only one way to remove lead buildup: Scrubbing. "They" recommend blowing out your gas system with a handful of 5.56 rounds every couple of hundred of .22lr Also, that's a decent price. I recently paid 175 for a used kit (Since I couldnt' find it in stock anywhere). Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - D_Eclipse9916 - 03-04-2013 A sombering moment (especially since I just went to the range thursday and I dont shoot that often), but a fellow employee, that works on training curriculum for anti-terrorism training, and former law enforcement officer passed away this weekend in a gun-range accident. All that training and experience, and accidents can still happen. Be careful guys. Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - CaptainHenreh - 03-04-2013 This dude? http://www.wtop.com/46/3238982/Man-kill ... ting-range Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 03-04-2013 RIP. I don't know the circumstances around the accident but I think that is a good reminder that you can never focus too much on safety. What is strange is that I feel like a lot of the guys who have been around firearms the longest are the people I often see not following basic firearm safety and etiquette. Especially rednecks. I love Duck Dynasty, but damn they have some awful firearm etiquette especially when they are cleaning their guns!!

I met him only a few times, but was apparently a wonderful man. Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - CaptainHenreh - 03-04-2013 It's easy to become complacent, but I do think the NRA (and Col. Cooper (pbuh)) has done "our" generation of enthusiasts a great service in pounding into our heads the whole "Treat every gun like it's loaded all the time." Recently had an older guy showing off his Ruger Vaqueros, he must have scanned me with his muzzle a dozen times. Now, I checked myself to make sure they were unloaded. There was no .45LC within 25 miles. The hammers were down, they were basically utterly inert. I was still like "Uh, these are cool, I gotta go, like, take a shit or something." Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 03-10-2013 Anyone need a few extra AR mags? Selling off a few to offset wedding / honeymoon costs. Got 7 of the aluminum mags with magpul followers up on gun broker right now Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - JustinG - 03-10-2013 WRXtranceformed Wrote:Anyone need a few extra AR mags? They are $.70/round now though instead of the $.48 when I bought it
Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 03-26-2013 First TAVOR SAR went for sale on Gunbroker. Going to be a while before these sell anywhere close to retail, but I definitely want one...with a 9mm conversion kit in Dark Earth ![]() http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewIt ... xld=1&xd=1 Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - CaptainHenreh - 03-26-2013 I'm still not totally sold. The design is proven, and I like the way it breaks down but...what about long term support? Where can I get replacement parts? When these have a street price of more like 16-1700 I'll think about them until then... Still, seems more well thought out then my MSAR Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - BLINGMW - 03-26-2013 I'm going to go ahead and sound stupid here, that rifle is silly looking. I'm guessing I'd think differently if I got to use one, but at that price, that's not going to happen! Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Apoc - 03-26-2013 It looks like it belongs in a video game, like Halo or something. That's not a good thing. Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 03-26-2013 Lol haters. You know you would be jocking someone's d if you saw them shooting one at the range. That gun in dark earth with an eotech and other accessories would be so ridiculously sweet |
