ya know - that is definitely a car that has grown on me - a lot. the headlights are a little iffy, I'll give you that, but the rear 3/4 view is damn good.

the headlights, and the teeth in the mouth......first thing i would do is hack those things off and fill in the holes.....But looks like they took care of that on the NISMO, wow that thing looks SOOOO much better than the 350 NISMO which was OEM RICE to the fullest. Should have put some better seats in it without the headrest, maybe some Recaros like the STi or EVO,

You are crazy. You are talking about a ~$20,000 car and a ~$40,000 car. That would be like saying I'd take a M3 over a TSX.

More apt comparison would be the cars available in the $20k price range. As of right now the only RWD offerings around that price are the Miata and Genesis Coupe.

Bad part about the camaro is you have to order them at this point...i priced one out online..I think they look awesome completely stripped, with the basic wheels and stuff..the tires get a lot more sidewall on them, and i think it looks better

Damn totally forgot about those two cars. So there you go, 4 RWD offerings around that price. Hope they keep the Toyobaru light otherwise there'll be no point to it *cough* 1 series *cough*.

Still not a huge fan aesthetically, but these chops made it MUCH better. I think its because the previous FT-HS was incredible, I would've been first in line for one and this is comparatively subdued and toned down. The front and rear are decent but they need to fix the slab sides and oh-so-close to exciting cabin roofline.

A lot of hate for a few years of crappy cars compared to GMs history of 25+ years of absolute junk cavaliers, impalas, chevettes etc. I also dont like toyota, but the hate is strong with this padawan (or however the fuck you spell it :lol: )

I wouldn't consider my comment "hate" just more of a joke related to current events. I'm certainly not unaware of the quality history of GM vs Toyota or the other Japanese makes. I drive an Acura daily, because that is how often I can depend on it. As a former GM and Land Rover technician, I am well aware of quality issues.

I actually really like the car.

and looks like the original concept is back on the table? (Im not holding my breath for either of these)

If that pricing is correct then it looks to be waaaay higher than originally planned. It sounds like its too close to BMW 1 series to me. Jappy pricing doesnt directly translate to US pricing though so who knows.

But if after all this they can make it look as good as that concept and come in at $25k for a reasonably fast one, Ill drive one in 2012
