If Navin doesn't, I'll kick the other 56 bucks to take the bed for both nights though I'm open to spooning if someone wants to split 2nd night's fee. - Feersty - 10-11-2006 Goodspeed Wrote:Maengelito Wrote:RJ, goodspeed also possibly on the floor?. I was just curious why some local people were heading there a day early... Car prep and reserve your place in the paddock. Driving in the early AM to the track from NOVA is not preferable by most. - Maengelito - 10-11-2006 Goodspeed Wrote:Maengelito Wrote:RJ, goodspeed also possibly on the floor? ha, one of the reasons why i was really pushing for more student involvement. just so you guys know how a track weekend works. most people like to show up on friday night because setting up takes a bit of time and its something people dont like to do on a saturday morning especially with a big day ahead of them. and those that work should usually be there pretty early. besides workers get a free hotel room for friday and saturday night. - PDenbigh - 10-11-2006 Maengelito Wrote:fuck i'm excited for the weekend. i hope i can get the bumper ghetto rigged and ready to go. maybe let pete or someone have at it with the welder? +1! Heck yeah I'll weld that thing! (As long as it's not Aliuminum) I was planning on going to the track Friday evening if you want help! - navin - 10-11-2006 I'l call the dibs on the bed, sorry andyyy... - PDenbigh - 10-12-2006 Altenator repalced last night, tonight I'm rolling fenders and packing! - Evan - 10-12-2006 (finally) got the new m/c in last night and everything bled out. plus new engine mount, new temp sensor, new vinyl. car fired up for the first time in a while last night. Just have to pack and load up!
- navin - 10-12-2006 ArgHH... I got my car inspected today ( ) and now I'm trying to figure out where this awful screeching noise is coming from.I'm thinking its the tabs on the brake pads (fronts have none, rears are still there).. I hope its not a seized caliper or anything like that. The brakes still felt good though. - PDenbigh - 10-12-2006 If it was a brake problem, wouldn't it have failed inspection? - Andy - 10-12-2006 I'm so excited, I can barely focus at work or maybe it's the possible concussion I gave myself when I smacked myself in the goddamn eye with my wrench or was it the 1/2 drive rachet that I dropped on my mouth? No, it's definitely going to the track. - Chris - 10-12-2006 Maengelito Wrote:also remember, there are several workers going to this event (just like every event) and although some of them stay in winchester, i'm sure the rest wouldnt mind letting a few of you crash in the free worker room. sounds great Maeng. I'm bringing an air mattress so the floor works for me. Navin, I'll get you some money for the room. p.s. I'm leaving my office around 2pm or so, I'll get there by 5:30 when they let NASA people in. Anyone going to be there that early? I'll probably head to the track and unload all my crap and see whats going on. Then back to the hotel to get some food. If anyone wants to get dinner call my cell: 804-240-4334 - Dave - 10-12-2006 weather report that I saw looks great for this weekend. Lows in the 30s though; Sat and Sun morning are gonna be frigid, so everybody take some layers and stay warm. I'll be driving up early Saturday morning, so will somebody please leave enough space for my car and a pile of my shit at the paddock? I tech'd the 240 earlier this week and looks like it's ready for another weekend of abuse :-). - navin - 10-13-2006 PDenbigh Wrote:If it was a brake problem, wouldn't it have failed inspection? Not a real inspection per say ![]() Anyways, I sliced my finger pretty bad at work - looks like ill be leaving any work to be done on the car tommorow to be done at the track. Can't wait to get out of this NoVa hellhole to peaceful SP! - Maengelito - 10-13-2006 car's packed, i'm ready to go. btw, i'm bringing the grill in case anyone wants to throw something on it - Feersty - 10-13-2006 Maengelito Wrote:car's packed, i'm ready to go. btw, i'm bringing the grill in case anyone wants to throw something on it bumper? - Evan - 10-14-2006
