Thats a... strange... ad.

That was a disturbing commercial when I first saw that. To hell with Sony

There is nothing about the PS3 graphics that has impressed me so far, or at least set it apart from the 360. Supposedly they're coming out with more games that will push the console. Sure, we'll see what happens.

did anyone get a PS3 or Wii? if the 360 prices come down, i might like to get it. lee's review of gears of war makes me wanna play it, and i saw a commercial earlier for some excitebike type game where you can be The King or Big Cluckin' Chicken for sale at burger kings for $5 with the purchase of a meal. it looks awesome

- BLINGMW - 11-20-2006

ahha... I saw that too! How odd :?:

I think the marketing is brilliant.

video didn't impress me much. i'm still really damn happy with my xbox... played "gun" all weekend, beat it, was happy with the graphics. also got "red dead revolver," which is a blast multiplayer (or maybe that is the fact that the score is typically 20-4ish?)

- HAULN-SS - 11-20-2006

i've pretty much been addicted to Call of Duty 2, and Call of Duty 3 we just got, so that's my new fix. Anyone else got it? I pretty much hate the new sniper rifle setup, but i guess it's just a learning curve. The graphics are much improved over CoD2, and the new maps + larger multiplayer servers is pretty awesome too.

o man - i loved gun, i beat it pretty quickly, well for me anyway and that last bad guy was a pita. I never got red dead revolver, i just figured it was more of the same as Gun.

right now im in the middle of hitman:blood money. I like it, but i tend to like the slower paced games sometimes.

It was a toss-up for me to buy GoW or CoD3 the other day, and I ended up going with GoW. I got a free $10 gift card to Target for buying it there, so I'll probably return and get CoD3 in a week or so =P

A friend of mine knows how to mod 360s, so I may have him do mine so I don't have to buy games anymore haha... hacker at heart, ever since my days at UC Boulder.

- WRXtranceformed - 11-20-2006

Oh, Assassin's Creed looks like it's going to be really awesome too, I'm looking forward to that. I'm really into the medieval stuff, and it looks a lot like Tenchu: Stealth Assassin or whatever that game was for the PS2... which I really liked.

- Feersty - 11-20-2006

So the answer to this thread is yes...they are going to hell because of the problems mentioned in that article.

I'm not gonna hate on Sony. I love my PS2, and I loved my Original Playstation (not to be confused with a PS1). We just got a 60in Sony SXRD and it rocks the house. I mean, almost for no other reason then it is a fucking huge TV. Hell, if the old BetaMax player still worked dad would STILL be using it like its his job. I've spent countless hours now clocked in at Circuit City playing the PS3 demo machine. Even with the demo choices being fairly limited I must say the graphics on the thing are amazing and the detail put into the simplest child oriented games is astounding.

jeff, what is with the recent obsession of waking threads from the dead?

To be fair it had only been 8 days, and its not as if this subject has just gone away with the launch.

Anyway, I'm thinking about selling my xbox 360. I like the system/controllers, and I've enjoyed the games I've bought, but I really just don't play consoles that much anymore.

The wii looks pretty interesting to me, and I've heard nothing but amazing things about the new Zelda game, but I think I've learned my lesson with trying to get back into consoles.

- Mike - 11-28-2006

pretty sure the rents are hooking me up with a 360 ffor xmas... guess i've gotta hop on the hd train!
