- Chris - 10-13-2005 ahhh! is it Saturday yet??? for those of you who have never driven be sure to print off a tech sheet and weekend schedule... it helps make things less confusing when you roll up to grid. also you must have long pants (long shirt might be nice too). forecast says mostly sunny Saturday and Sunday! - Feersty - 10-13-2005 I am getting all antsy in my pantsy about this weekend. W00t. - Andy - 10-13-2005 What is the best way out of NoVA. Should I take 28N to 7W or 66W? I'm skipping work early. Probably be out by 3 or so. - Sijray21 - 10-13-2005 what part are you coming from? usually 66 will be backed up by 4pm heading westward. I'd say the quickest way is I-66w/I-81N/rt 7E The nicer drive is rt 7west. I'll be leaving pretty late, so i'll be taking the 66west route. - Feersty - 10-13-2005 Are people going straight to the track Friday night for tech inspection? - Evan - 10-13-2005 the fastest way to summit out of nova is the toll road to the greenway until it turns into rt. 7 Thats expensive though, so rt 7 all the way is the next best way - .RJ - 10-13-2005 theguywiththeSi Wrote:I'd say the quickest way is I-66w/I-81N/rt 7E To summit? ^w-t-f? That would take 2+ hrs.... - Kaan - 10-13-2005 i'll be there friday at around 5pm... find me in the marcus pimp mobile until 630 - navin - 10-13-2005 should be getting there around 5 PM if I still leave with .RJAAAAAY - Sijray21 - 10-13-2005 .RJ Wrote:theguywiththeSi Wrote:I'd say the quickest way is I-66w/I-81N/rt 7E From my place it takes a little shorter taking the ffx pkway to 66w takes about 1.5 hours to the *Hotel* (which is right off of I-81). Taking Route 7 is slighly slower IMO b/c of the traffic lights and reduced speed limit. This is with no traffic - mind you. - Chris - 10-13-2005 Feersty Wrote:Are people going straight to the track Friday night for tech inspection? I'll get there around 5:30 when the track opens to NASA so I can change wheels and pads and claim a paddock spot. - .RJ - 10-13-2005 Where do you guys want to paddock? Up on the gravel next to grid? - Mike - 10-13-2005 If the forecast is rosy I may be camping... - Sijray21 - 10-13-2005 holy crap... ...just complied a list of everyone from MM driving: HPDE 1 Chris Navin Jessica Lindsey John (NaptownE36) Andy HPDE 2 Jason Hunt0r Pete HPDE 3 Mike HPDE 4 .RJ RACE Evan (SM) ...lordy, do will we have enough room to fit everyone in the same paddock space? also i'm probably missing people - it was a quick run-through this thread - .RJ - 10-13-2005 Also - we will want to save space for Steve (white ITR, HPDE3) and Al (green miata, HPDE4) in the paddock. I'll be setting up by grid on the gravel. - Hunter - 10-13-2005 Wow that's a lot of people driving, we should start a gang while were there. We can take the lunch money of all the old racers. - Sijray21 - 10-13-2005 Hunter Wrote:Wow that's a lot of people driving, we should start a gang while were there.
