Quoted for truth. I started out tracking a 944 turbo, and drove it home one Sunday evening from VIR after seizing a caliper, which was a real special experience. I took it as a lesson and looked at what was at the track at the time, Miata's everywhere, so I bought one and progressed from there. This was before the E30/E36's really became popular. I've never had an issue at the track that I wasn't able to overcome since parts are everywhere and available at the track.

Generic Civic, Integra, Accord, E36, Focus, Escort etc.

I understand the Miata idea, but it doesn't sit well with me. I think the MM car should have a full roof. I definitely think a Civic or something the like would be better.

FWIW that focus uses the more modern 2.0 Duratec, the 2.0 Zetec engine ended in 04. so this one has a timing chain instead of a belt, 140hp i think? its not a bad package for a cheap shitbox.

Buy a Honda or a Volvo or something. We're not going out there to win a race and put mm on the map , I don't care who's in the lead, I care whos grinning the most and laughing their ass hardest when we're drinking afterwards. We're just trying to have ridiculous fun.

My entire point is, its not that serious just choose something cheap and let's fucking go. Y'all don't got any god damn imagination.
