It's pretty self explanatory, but let me know if ya have any questions on Bimmer Code.

RE: Project: Swagger Wagon - Apoc - 04-12-2018

I can't get the door unlock on ignition off to work but I only tinkered for 30 minutes.

I need to Google and see what all these settings are. Some are pretty straightforward, but I want to know everything about everything. The Christmas startup animation is actually kinda neat.

Project: Swagger Wagon - JustinG - 04-12-2018

Here is a good explanation of a lot of the features. Some may not be accessible on the normal screen of Bimmer Code, since this is for Carly, but it should be attainable via expert mode.

RE: Project: Swagger Wagon - Apoc - 04-12-2018

Yeah, most I've found start from desired outcome and tell you how to do it. I'm looking for something that explains what every option means as organized in the app. That's just how I learn best.

Maybe I'll just read that whole thing and take notes on the ones I care about...

Project: Swagger Wagon - Sijray21 - 04-12-2018

Is there a way to disable the start/stop on a more permanent basis? I didn't see it in those options, but I thought you guys would know.

RE: Project: Swagger Wagon - Apoc - 04-12-2018

Found my pronlem...

"Only works if the doors were automatically locked by the car while driving."

There was something for state at startup and another for remembering last setting. I haven't messed with it, but I can check next time I code some shit.

RE: Project: Swagger Wagon - JustinG - 04-12-2018

Pretty sure default is remember last. I've never coded anything for that, and my start/stop stays off. So if ya turn it off, it stays off.

Back into summer clothing, as we've got a road trip in a few weeks. We just passed two years of ownership and I like the car as much now as the day we bought it, if not more. I just had it in for its second service during our ownership; it was just oil and plugs... all covered by the CPO. I think we're sitting at about 47k miles.

Our BMW dealer does a "shuttle" to a lot of the city. What I learned is that's actually a ReachNow Ride driver picking you up in a 3 series and driving you wherever. I didn't realize ReachNow had this driver service, which I guess is in beta . The driver, who's an employee of the company, said they're trying to compete with the Ubers of the world. Anyway, at the end of the day I filled out a web form my dealer texted me and a different driver in a different 3 series showed up to take me back to the dealer. All paid for by the dealer... although BMW owns ReachNow... so, yeah.

Still trucking. Got it into sport mode a bit on a few recent trips. The kid's in that phase where driving quick is hilarious to him. He likes sport mode. I do too.

So hot. Want to touch the booty.

Project: Swagger Wagon - JustinG - 07-10-2018

What oil change intervals are you doing?

RE: Project: Swagger Wagon - ScottyB - 07-10-2018

Oil changes are covered under CPO, so it's whatever the OBC recommends... which is 10k miles.

I have some reservations because that's two years of driving for us, but I'm too lazy and cheap to adjust.

Project: Swagger Wagon - JustinG - 07-10-2018

Bad thing about 15+, the Maintenance covered under CPO doesn't transfer. Have to buy it. Was like $800 and only lasts me for 2 years when the CPO runs out.

RE: Project: Swagger Wagon - Apoc - 07-10-2018

Forgot to post a conversation we had last weekend while camping.

Drunk Country Grandma: Beautiful car.
Me: Thanks.
DCG: How do you like it?
Me: Love it. We aren't SUV people, so this is perfect.
DCG: This your first time camping?
Me: Nope.
DCG: ...and you're still rocking a BMW?
Me: Yup.

Project: Swagger Wagon - JustinG - 07-30-2018

What Thule box do you have?

RE: Project: Swagger Wagon - Apoc - 07-31-2018

I can't remember the model # off the top of my head and have a paper receipt. I'll dig it up in the next few days and let you know.

Project: Swagger Wagon - JustinG - 07-31-2018

Just trying to figure out cubic feet, and dimensions. We are gonna need to upgrade from the skinny box to a wider box, and yours seems like a good size.

I'm already invested in Yakima locks/bars, so I'd want their comparable box.

RE: Project: Swagger Wagon - Apoc - 07-31-2018

This is interior measurements - I keep them handy in case I'm wondering if some new kid thing will fit in there.

78" L x 32.5" W x 14.5" H

haha yeah, it's all fun and games until they rat you out to mom. When there's a clear on ramp or we're first in line at a red light the 4 year old will shout "AUDIPOWER" and if I'm fast enough I can get the kickdown to hit right as he's done yelling. Gawd I love that that look on their faces when they can't move in the seat.

Those wood shots with a roof box just look proper. I lol'd at your on-hand dimensions but not knowing what brand, because that seems totally correct to me.
