You cut the lines on the E30. ITs the one for the S50 out of the parts car we need. I assume you sold it with the steering rack...

Re: Project: R3D3MPTION? - davej - 01-05-2017

Thanks Joey!!!
got this in a FCP cart so far which should cover 1, 2, 3. Unless you also need the Pump to Reservoir is 32411138419, DJ?
Any thoughts on what # you need for 5? If you get time would you mind calling FCP and describe it to the guy, maybe he can pull the right number for us?

I'll hold off for a bit to see if you're able to pull any secondhand magic for any of them, otherwise once we get 5 figured out, just give me the word and I'll hit the order.

Oh, and Matt, you're dead to me now.

Re: Project: R3D3MPTION? - SlimKlim - 01-05-2017

Oh btw, those PS lines #s are for the S50, not the E30, I assume those are the ones we want?

Re: Project: R3D3MPTION? - *insertusernamehere* - 01-05-2017

I actually left James the steering rack and some other stuff to sell if he wanted if he could make any cash on it. He still has all the stuff. So he's gonna go check his shed and see what's there.

Dave, if he has the lines and banjo bolt, all you need is that one bolt. (Those washers come with the oil filter)

I'm taking a friend to the Mt. Airy Junkyard tomorrow afternoon to try and get her a replacement driver's mirror for her Subaru. If there are any junkyard parts required for this project let me know!

Re: Project: R3D3MPTION? - davej - 01-09-2017

James, you glorious bastard, you! Is that in Harrisonburg? I can ship it up to DJ today, if you're around.
DJ, still need one banjo bolt? anything else you can see from the photo, or do you want me to wait until you have it before ordering stuff?

Let's wait until he gets it up here (I thought Matt said he was coming yesterday?)

Too cold to work much but clutch is assembled, transmission on, and engine dropped in. Spent most of yesterday inside working on house projects with Drywall dust everywhere.

It's a little more annoying to set down the straight six in the E30 than an E36 because the front end can't be pulled off with nuts and bolts. Had to get a little tricky with both my engine hoist leveler maxxed out, and then using blocks of wood underneath the rear tires to tilt the whole car even more using the lift.

Anyways, it is in!

Still a long ways to go. Next Couple Steps:
1. Weld bottom of subframe reinforcements
2. Weld studs for transmission mount
3. Driveshaft/shifter installation
4. Rear diff installation
5. Power Steering lines (when they get here)

Oh, also needs fluids (rear diff, oil, power steering, and while you are at it want new trans fluid? You have brake fluid) I don't live far from OG Racing if you want me to pick it all up this weekend.

Re: Project: R3D3MPTION? - EclipseTurbno93 - 01-09-2017

I dropped the rack off with someone who's supposed to get it up there somehow.. mostly I just did what Matt told me to do, he's got the master plan (I hope)

Yeah, it's too cold to do anything, although I'd almost choose to freeze than mess with drywall again. I don't mind cutting into it/installing, but after doing half of a house, I swore I'll never sand again.

If you don't mind picking up whatever fluid you'd recommend this weekend, yeah, that'd be great. Might as well start fresh with everything.
