Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - .RJ - 01-12-2015 That exhaust is going to be LOUD Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - V1GiLaNtE - 01-12-2015 That turndown looks even better in the pictures! Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - Kaan - 01-12-2015 its a 2.5 inch "you weld it" system from Mandrel Exhaust Systems, 2.5 inch Magnaflow high flow cat, 18 inch Magnaflow resonator, and a Dynatech muffler.... its pretty loud but I don't think you can get 2.5 inches and 4 cylinders to be quiet. Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - Jake - 01-12-2015 Progress is looking good!! Maybe one of these times Cabell comes to visit, I can head down with him and lend a hand. Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - Kaan - 01-12-2015 Cabell wanted me to get one of those DC sport twin tips from autozone to throw on there for the pictures lol. Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - Goodspeed - 01-12-2015 Not good enough... Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - Kaan - 01-12-2015 don't post premade shit in here! we guessed at the turn down and hacked at it with a sawzall
Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - V1GiLaNtE - 01-12-2015 There were a lot of chalkboard preliminary designs mocked up...all very high tech. Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - Kaan - 01-12-2015 V1GiLaNtE Wrote:There were a lot of chalkboard preliminary designs mocked up...all very high tech. it still didn't come out like the chalk board showed! I have video... its annoyingly loud lol Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - .RJ - 01-12-2015 See if you can get another bullet-style muffler in line with the exhaust. Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - Kaan - 01-12-2015 I'm not sure there is space. maybe an 8 inch or so section I can add to. I could "remove" the cat and add one there, but I figured the cat would help keep it quiet. Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - ScottyB - 01-12-2015 nicely done Kaan. i'm a believer! please keep the cat on there. if not for volume, to keep it from sounding like complete ass. Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - .RJ - 01-12-2015 ScottyB Wrote:to keep it from sounding like complete ass. Impossibru. Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - Kaan - 01-12-2015 .RJ Wrote:ScottyB Wrote:to keep it from sounding like complete ass. in my recent RJ internet stalking... you have been doing the Kim Jung Un thing a lot... are you feeling okay? Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - Kaan - 01-12-2015 ScottyB Wrote:nicely done Kaan. i'm a believer! I mean... 2.5 inches is technically "too big" for this B18b, so I figured in the stock location, with a cat, etc... I'd keep some back pressure. there is still a lot of buzz but you can only dress up a 4 cylinder so much. I cant imagine what it would sound like without a cat or the resonator. you can see in this picture, where the pipe kicks to the passenger side, that's the only straight pipe without a resonator/muffler left in the whole system.

Great work. Looks good! Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - .RJ - 01-12-2015 2.5" isnt too large, IMO. Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - Kaan - 01-13-2015 Senor_Taylor Wrote:Man, this is progressing quickly! Great work. Looks good! As long as you have time, a pile of parts you've collected over the last decade, and spare money for all the stuff you break... anyone can move this quickly (or faster). .RJ Wrote:2.5" isnt too large, IMO. when you read the internet and exhaust theory, 2.5 inches can support a TON of hp. but it seems 4 cylinder cars defy all the normal "rules." But then you could spend a couple of days reading all the icy hot stunna forums and they "love" around 1 7/8 inch exhausts and "there is no need" for bigger. Even on RRAX 2-2.25 inches is where they are running vtec powered cars. This doesn't matter in the long run. 2.5 inches is the basic K motor exhaust size. it should allow me to hit the power number I'm looking for when I crack that engine open. If and when the car ever makes it to trailer queen/track only status i'll probably look at running a 3 inch system for the K motor. but 2.5 should get me most of the way there  |
