Re: Project: AWD TURBO Family Hauler (04 Forester 2.5XT) - ScottyB - 04-05-2013 yeah that lower/left gold is pretty yellow. maybe its just the lighting but the warmer gold seems like it would work better. Re: Project: AWD TURBO Family Hauler (04 Forester 2.5XT) - Evan - 04-05-2013 right/upper i bet its UG too Re: Project: AWD TURBO Family Hauler (04 Forester 2.5XT) - JustinG - 04-05-2013 Yea.......I don't think I'm gonna paint em now....they are pretty sexy as is. ![]() ![]()

Re: Project: AWD TURBO Family Hauler (04 Forester 2.5XT) - WRXtranceformed - 04-06-2013 Good call, I like the color of those! Re: Project: AWD TURBO Family Hauler (04 Forester 2.5XT) - JustinG - 04-06-2013 STI springs and WRX struts installed. I am really happy with the look. Big thanks to Shea for the help this afternoon. ![]()
Re: Project: AWD TURBO Family Hauler (04 Forester 2.5XT) - davej - 04-06-2013 That's the perfect height, looks sweet! Re: Project: AWD TURBO Family Hauler (04 Forester 2.5XT) - ScottyB - 04-07-2013 what you've done here; i like it Re: Project: AWD TURBO Family Hauler (04 Forester 2.5XT) - JustinG - 04-07-2013 Ride is a bit stiffer now with the sti springs, it rides like an STi, so not too bad. Its about a 70lb diff in the front compared to the XT springs and about 3-3.5in lower. Glad I installed the 3/8 saggy butt spacers in the rear. I think if the car is loaded down, clearance would be an issue. Headed to merchants to get an alignment and the wheels and tires mounted shortly. Re: Project: AWD TURBO Family Hauler (04 Forester 2.5XT) - SlimKlim - 04-07-2013 What RJ said. I'm not digging the polished lips, but I've never been a fan of that style so don't listen to me. Car looks great though, I love the new ride height! Re: Project: AWD TURBO Family Hauler (04 Forester 2.5XT) - JustinG - 04-07-2013 The polished lip is the only thing I'm not sure of. But I figured I'd give it a try and see. Its not that big of a deal to paint them with the tires on. Re: Project: AWD TURBO Family Hauler (04 Forester 2.5XT) - JustinG - 04-07-2013 Alignment done. Wheels and tires mounted/balanced. Just awaiting delivery of the lugnuts and she'll be good to go. Re: Project: AWD TURBO Family Hauler (04 Forester 2.5XT) - JPolen01 - 04-07-2013 Add another to the no polished lip camp. Re: Project: AWD TURBO Family Hauler (04 Forester 2.5XT) - JustinG - 04-07-2013 it is not polished btw, just machined, but I doubt that really matters. Re: Project: AWD TURBO Family Hauler (04 Forester 2.5XT) - Jeff - 04-07-2013 Leave the wheels. Refinishing them never lasts/looks as nice as OEM finish. Anne's Jeep wheels have held up well though and that was Duplicolor wheel paint. Re: Project: AWD TURBO Family Hauler (04 Forester 2.5XT) - D_Eclipse9916 - 04-08-2013 Thank god you didnt do the Cobb, it would have been wayyy too low. Looks great as is! Re: Project: AWD TURBO Family Hauler (04 Forester 2.5XT) - V1GiLaNtE - 04-08-2013 Money. Looking forward to shots with the new shoes. |
