So I got BF3 as a Christmas gift. Oh my sweet jaysus it kicks the ever-loving shit out of MW3. The sights, the sounds, the weapons and vehicles...all more better. Everything they said is true. This game rocks :thumbup:

I finally got my XBox back and have everything set up... although I need to wait until I get a new router in a few days.

Anybody have problems with their MW3 (xbox) when playing online? Roommate got it over break and at randoms times during online play we get a disc read error and it just shits the bed. Looked it up online and it seems to be a common problem, but Activision refuses to acknowledge it so far. We called them and they said to ship it to them and they will send out a replacement. I guess we will wait and see what happens.

if he installed the game to the HD, delete it and reinstall. sometimes shit can get corrupted. has happened to a game or two of mine.

I must say that I'm pretty pleased with how they've managed to keep cheating down this time. I've only had about one match where I thought maybe the other team was glitching (they had like 5 AC130's in a row).

yep. easier for you to google than me to try to explain it.
if you don't have a big hd, it's probably not worth the time it'll take to shuffle games as you get new ones, grow tired of old ones, etc. i have the "slim" so i jus install everything. i'll have to deal with space in a few years

So new Xbox possibly coming Fall of 2013, Blu Ray, 3D, 1080P, 6 times the power of the 360.
I know ill be getting one at some point, but I already have a Blu Ray thats 3D capable as im sure most XBOX owners already have as well, so thats not a big sell IMO, doubtful ill get one upon release but I'll still upgrade at some point.
New one could possibly prevent using used games? Doubt that will go over well.
You guys upgrading, done with gaming? Need more info?

I seriously doubt that rumor about preventing people from playing used games on the next Xbox. Sure, greedy-ass publishers would love such a feature but what does Microsoft have to gain from it? They would absolutely alienate a lot of the customer base and at the very least, dramatically slow down adoption of the new console. Meanwhile if either Sony or Nintendo does not implement such a scheme, they are going to gobble up market share at Microsoft's expense. Microsoft has nothing to gain and everything to lose from doing something like that.
Besides, if a game publisher wants to prevent people from playing used games they can absolutely do so right now. EA has already started crippling used games with the Online Pass. If they wanted to make it so you can't play single player or multiplayer without paying again on a used copy, they could.
Would I buy the next Xbox? 2013 is a long way off but it always comes down to the same question. Games. If there are compelling games for the new system (and MS doesn't do any stupid shit), I'll buy it.
