Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 01-25-2013 Lol OOF! My $479.00 for 1k comparably seems pretty good vs. the price gouging going on right now on 2.23 / 5.56: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/federal-american-eagle-223-55gr-fmj-1000rd-bulk-pack.html">http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.ph ... -pack.html</a><!-- m --> Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 01-25-2013 And a buddy of mine just sold a 20rd SKS mag for $99.00 plus shipping. He bought it originally for $40.00 which I thought was a lot. Makes me want to consider selling this box of 10 I bought. I bet I could get $1400 for it
Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - JustinG - 01-25-2013 10 - 30rd AR mags? What kinda? Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 01-25-2013 Yeah. Aluminum teflon coated with magpul followers. Put 60 rounds through one of them, it operated as well as my Lancer mags. Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - CaptainHenreh - 01-29-2013 Did some mods to julie's carbine in preparation for Monday's class:
Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 01-29-2013 Nice! What length is that barrel? Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - CaptainHenreh - 01-29-2013 16" yankee hill diamond fluted 1/7 Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 01-31-2013 Same buddy just sold a 5 round tapco mag for $75. LOL More and more tempting to dump this extra box of mags. I might wait right until legislation is about to go through. Buy low sell high! Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - JustinG - 01-31-2013 Wtf.....a 5rd magazine? Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - JustinG - 01-31-2013 Been getting presents from brown Santa.... Magpul UBR and Aluminum trigger guard. ![]() Installed...7 position stock, cheek rest doesn't move, has a memory function where the stock will only extend to a preset length, and a storage compartment that is removable. ![]() ![]() ![]() Young Manufacturing National Match M16 bolt carrier group. DAT chrome son! ![]() Also had a regular carbine buffer delivered but that is not so exciting. BCM mod4 charging handle is OTW. Now I'm just waiting on my upper to ship from PSA. Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 02-01-2013 Beautiful BCG man! Looking forward to seeing that thing come together Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Mike - 02-03-2013 Shot the P30 yesterday. Nicely constructed gun. Balanced, nice grip, seemed like a tiny bit less kick than the MP9. However, the trigger sucked. Not to say the MP9 trigger is a highlight, but it was surely better than this one. I think it had about a 14m pull. Really awkward because it seemed like it'd never fire. Good gun, for sure, but I'd take mine over it any day... especially considering the several hundred dollar savings. Thinking of getting the Apex kit to make my trigger even better. Haven't seen a review yet that doesn't say it's short of amazing. Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Apoc - 02-03-2013 Interesting, as Rexypoo had me nearly convinced to go after a P30. Imma head over this place and shoot a bunch to see what I like best: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.westcoastarmory.com/the-range/range/37">http://www.westcoastarmory.com/the-range/range/37</a><!-- m --> Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 02-03-2013 Have also heard good things about the Apex, if I keep the Shield I was thinking about tricking it out with their stuff. Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - CaptainHenreh - 02-03-2013 The apex kit makes the S&W trigger the best striker trigger I've ever used, but it's still a shitty striker. (In the words of Felton, 'That's almost good.') All the P30's I've dry fired have been awesome, but any DA gun is going to have a long takeup. I do *not* like the LEM P30's, but all the V3 P30's I've shot had decent double actions and great singles, especially if you ride the reset. K? ![]() And Rexy, I don't know about a lot of the stuff you said. I just know I prefer pulling the trigger on my gun as opposed to the P30. Would need to try a bunch more guns to know what a bad striker feels like. Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Jewels - 02-03-2013 He just means that striker fire feels like shit to him. He prefers guns with hammers. I love the Apex kit for our full sized MP9, I'm eager to do it to the other ones too! Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Evan - 02-03-2013 The M&P9 has far and away the worst trigger of any gun I have ever shot. Vauge squishy trigger saftey that is part of the trigger throw which changes the feel of the trigger (and the pivot point) mid stroke is a really awful design IMO. Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Evan - 02-06-2013 hopefully. might go wallyworld 9mm hunting this weekend. ive got a new toy coming friday and im itching to hit the range. Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - JustinG - 02-06-2013 A lot of people with pmags in stock have put in place an asshole tax. They mark up the mags to whatever the going rate is on gunbroker and donate whatever is above their normal price to the NRA/Wounded Warriors etc. To keep jackasses from buying 1000 mags and making like 500% profit. |
