All I can find here are hollow points.

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - KPWSerpiente - 01-04-2013

I bought the last five 50 round boxes of .223 out here in Omaha. I seriously can't believe how empty the ammo shelves are in all of the sporting goods/gun stores here.

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - CaptainHenreh - 01-10-2013

I posted this in teh FNG thread with a ninja edit, but I'll post it here.

STEEL CASE VS BRASS CASE AMMO:

Rex, What's the deal with Steel Case vs Brass case Ammunition?
Here, read this article: http://www.luckygunner.com/labs/brass-v ... ased-ammo/

If that doesn't answer your question it's because you can't science.

tl;dr: If you want maximum performance, accuracy, reliability, and barrel longevity, you should exclusively run brass cased ammunition with a copper (not bimetal) jacket. However, the price difference of the steel case ammunition is significant enough that by the time you notice performance degradation, (~6000 rounds) you will have saved enough money for a replacement barrel with money left over.

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - JustinG - 01-13-2013

oh hey guys....look what I found.

Surplus Ammo and Arms Stripped lower, CMMG LPK, and Magpul MIAD grip.

I have 3 of these lowers...selling 2 of them. But I don't want to sell it to a friend, if one of you bought it at the price I'm asking...I couldn't sleep at night Smile

Also if any of you guys want a Black Magpul MOE grip let me know I think I paid $20 for it. I know they are kinda hard to find right now and I bought one prior to deciding to go with the MIAD. If not i'm taking it back to the store.

Now to find my Stock/Buffer spring/Buffer.

Then sell these 2 lowers and stand by for a complete upper.

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - CaptainHenreh - 01-15-2013

I have been assured by Tyler that nobody wants to take my guns away.

They might want to take my magazines, or my firing pins, or my hammers or disconnectors, but they don't want to take my guns, so we're cool.

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Mike - 01-15-2013

ditto.

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - CaptainHenreh - 01-15-2013

In other news, to the surprise of absolutely no one Springfield has released the XDS9.

Lee, sell yo' shield Fotay and get on that train.

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 01-15-2013

Justin, I may be interested in that grip. Is that the one with a storage compartment / door? Mine is just hollow and I would like a door for a field repair kit / bore snake.

Re: Rex.. Any takers on the .40? Tongue I loved the XDS I shot.

I actually don't mind the shield as much now that I have gotten plenty of rounds through it and broken it in. It's a little beast..snappy to shoot. If I could trade into an XDS I wouldn't be sorry though.

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - JustinG - 01-16-2013

If you already own it, no, unless they decide to make us all turn in our high capacity magazines. But from what I have gathered any High Cap magazine for a Semi Auto weapon will only be able to hold 10rds going forward.

Unless your state enacts something further like NY, which you may as well walk around with a pocket of rocks, but only 7 rocks....8 and you're going to jail.

HAULN-SS Wrote:Can someone clarify for me whether or not the high cap magazine ban would apply to a handgun as well? Is a standard glock 9mm 17 round mag going to be outlawed? etc

Sorry, my crystal ball on legislation that hasn't even hit the congressional floor yet is cloudy. :evileye:

I will say that if the AWB94 is "renewed" as suggested by BROTUS, then YES it applies to handguns, rifles, shotguns, and any other weapons that fire by means of an explosive charge propelling a projectile.

But until legislation gets submitted to congress, referred to committee, out of committee, amended, and ready to be voted on, no one has any goddam idea.
