Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 12-20-2012 Give it a while. I don't think there are ever going to be restrictions on ammo purchases (you never know) so I can see things settling down post-ban if it happens. I finally got my AR to the range. You all would have laughed at this range, it was seriously in good old boy country. Wow what a fun gun to shoot. We couldn't get onto the longer rifle range so I zeroed it at 30 yards. Aimpoint and backup are now both set. Super smooth, great trigger pull, super accurate. I had about an 1-1.5" group going for the most part for my first time shooting. Cleaning this thing seriously sucks though. I don't mind it because it is kind of theraputic, but it is a process. Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Evan - 12-20-2012 I think heavy tax on ammo (or even serial numbered ammo) is a way to get around the 2nd amendment that the democrats are going to try to use to restrict self defense rights. Perhaps not this go-around, but certainly in the future. I meant to buy a case last week before all this mess went down. *sigh* Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - flintster55 - 12-20-2012 HAULN-SS Wrote:Damn..I cant find any 5.56 in stock anywhere. Any of you guys know if any place in harrisonburg (or anywhere between my place and roanoke) might have it?There is a fun show at the Salem CC this weekend. Might be able to pick some up there if you'll be in town by then? Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 12-20-2012 Forgot to mention I get to shoot a FAL. Which was sweet. Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - CaptainHenreh - 12-21-2012 Fuck yeah, good buy. One of the few AR's I'd consider buying, to be honest. Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 12-21-2012 Very nice! Good buy dude. Stock up on mags while you can get them. Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 12-21-2012 8 pmags just sold for $800.00 on gunbroker......... hahahaha Edit: $7584.09 for 100 pmag.....wow Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Evan - 12-25-2012 Ive been meaning to get a nice pocketgun for carry, and finally got off my ass and ordered this a little over a month ago ![]() small size and pocketability was a big priority for this purchase, and originally planned on getting the PF9, but the kahr seems to be more reliable and better built, and I didnt mind the extra cost. Its actually smaller than the PF9 in several dimensions as well which is a bonus. ![]() next to my xdm. its friggin tiny. ![]() I bought both an uncle mikes and concelament specialties pocket holsters. the uncle mikes is slimmer but comes out with the gun too easily, the CS sticks in the pocket great and prevents printing but its bulkier. give and take. id probably pick one depending on situation. Ill pick up a waistband holster sometime too most likely (though im not crazy about my n2tactical holster for my xdm) Didnt get a chance to get it out to the range until today. Wasnt sure what to expect, even Kahr says the gun needs 200 rounds before it will shoot reliably. On Kahr forums, they have entire rain dance sequences to help break in the guns so they are more reliable.....I racked the slide a few times but thats it. Thankfully, it ate up everything I could throw at it without a single malfunction. Put around 150 rounds through it today (6 round mags makes for lots of reloading....) Blazer brass Winchester white box federal fmj federal hollowpoints hornady critical defense all went through no problems. I had some winchester ranger +P+ that I decided not to try, I was pretty sure the CM9 could fire +P+ but I wasnt certain at the time (it can) coming from my XDM it was of course much less accurate, although Im sure thats all operator error. by the end of the session i was a lot more accurate. trigger feel was great, very smooth. overall Im impressed with this little gun, its done everything i expected. Sasha approved
Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Ryan T - 12-25-2012 Looks good man, I love the CM9. I've contemplated trading the PF9 for one many times, just never got around to it. Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 12-28-2012 Finally got around to setting up a cleaning station in my garage. It's pretty rudimentary but it's a start!
Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - CaptainHenreh - 12-28-2012 Looks great. May I assume that everyone in this thread has contacted their Congress Critters in regards to the latest knee-jerk retardation? If you have not, please do so, post-haste. Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 12-28-2012 I have not, is there an easy button to be able to do it? I have never tried to reach out to a lawmaker before. Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - CaptainHenreh - 12-28-2012 WRXtranceformed Wrote:I have not, is there an easy button to be able to do it? I have never tried to reach out to a lawmaker before. It's really simple. Go here: http://www.nraila.org/get-involved-loca ... -reps.aspx That will get you who your Representative/Senators are. Go to their websites, and there will be a "contact me" box/field/form somewhere. Be brief, don't write a novel. Just say, 'I'm Person Y, I voted in the last election, and I do not support any legislation further regulating firearms or their components, including magazines of any capacity. Thank you.'
