Has anyone had any serious seat time in a GTR on the street? I would think within a couple years early examples should be within reach for us common folk. I've read that they are a bit clunky around town - loud brakes, clunky transmission. I know it may not be the greatest car in its category but they do it for me. I only got a few minutes behind the wheel of one a few years ago so I really wonder what it would be like to drive around town.

I haven't, but i see one up close on the regular because my neighbor has one. His is in light blue, and thats a pretty good looking color for it. I also find it hilarious it's his family hauler when it snows because its his only car with AWD. Mustve had to sell it to the wife like that

I think your biggest concern with DDing a GTR would be having to cough up for a transmission repair, I dunno how common it really is and how much if it is internet hearsay.

Not as nice looking as the concept, it seems like they lost some of the nice proportions. I'm sure they'll sell a ton of these, and that'll do wonders for Jaguar's bottom line, which means there'll be more money for cool stuff.
