You said you didn't like big faces though... This one is definitely big but it would be really light. That is a pretty good price for a new G- shock with those features but you might want to check Jomashop to see if they have it cheaper. ![]() http://www.amazon.com/Casio-GW7900B-1-G ... 8K85NJJE43 Re: The WANT Thread - WRXtranceformed - 06-10-2013 Boss brought his PAW-1500Y1 in today (atomic & solar) and I got to try it on. It is a little heavier than the G-shocks I have had on my wrist but is not a heavy watch like any of the Invictas. It is also way thinner than the G-shock series. The look is incredible and it made me want it even more. I like the rubber straps but you can swap them out for anything you want. Dark titanium bands or NATO bands are pretty popular. We are looking around on some of the watch auction sites and Ebay but the watch I held today may be a purple squirrel. I found one on Amazon for almost $900.00 which is ludicrous and not going to happen. Going to give it a few days and then pull the trigger on the non-atomic variant. My boss got me the Tissot because my job is extremely hard in general and i hit a ridiculous stretch goal

The leather is really thick and high quality. It is taking some time to break in as any leather band does but already after several days of wear it is starting to mold nicely to my wrist. The clasp is kind of whack, it's really clunky and overly complicated but that is a relatively minor detail. The face and glass are beautiful, those pictures do not do it justice...the face is a matte white even though it looks offwhite / eggshell in the pic. It is big enough to be noticed but not so big that it is obnoxious. A great value for the money. On the complete opposite end of the spectrum I also pulled the trigger on this tonight. I told myself I was done for a while but I have been lusting after it for a long time and came across a silly deal. Clearly I have a disease. To make me feel better about it, this is the power watch that I will probably wear on the wedding day. I have worn it before. It is big, aggressive, over the top and awesome. Navitimer style in a quality watch without the absurd price. Re: The WANT Thread - Steve85 - 06-18-2013 What time is the wedding? I heard you get great light for photos at 80 Oil Pounds past the Liter. Of course if it's a destination wedding you may need to use metric time.
The WANT Thread - JPolen01 - 06-18-2013 That thing is so busy. Re: The WANT Thread - BLINGMW - 06-18-2013 Steve85 Wrote:What time is the wedding? Lots of them. And Harry, I need them by tonight. by my count Lee, youve gotten 6 new watches in about a month? Re: The WANT Thread - WRXtranceformed - 06-19-2013 Have mercy on me... Watches are like the methodone for my car modifying addiction  Re: The WANT Thread - WRXtranceformed - 06-20-2013 I feel like this one has Rex written all over it. Love it so far, stealthy look, surprisingly accurate sensors after you get them calibrated, solar powered, what's not to like? I am less upset about the fact that I couldn't reasonably obtain the elusive atomic version because I manually synced up the world time with the online atomic clock widget....it's +/- .25 seconds or so from atomic. ![]()
Re: The WANT Thread - CaptainHenreh - 06-20-2013 Looks a little big but...how much is? Re: The WANT Thread - WRXtranceformed - 06-20-2013 You can get a functionally identical PRG-130 in the $225 range. That one is the Asia-spec (blacked out) PRG-130Y, currently the best price is an Ebayer out of HK for around $275 shipped. You can find Protrek Pathfinders in different styles with similar specs from $150ish-$300 (titanium versions are on the high end). You can check out it in person and wear it if we meet up when you get down here  Re: The WANT Thread - CaptainHenreh - 06-20-2013 I'mma have to research bands, because I can't stand rubber watchbands. Re: The WANT Thread - Apoc - 06-20-2013 Can you contact the mothership with that thing, or do you need a separate communicator? Re: The WANT Thread - JPolen01 - 06-20-2013 All of these watches have so many buttons/dials/similar looks. I don't get it. |
