Re: G-Force Karting :: November 13 - G.Irish - 11-15-2010 DavidM Wrote:I never even got a results sheet, G did you get one, I know you've put it together in the past? We would need a breakdown of who drove when for each team as well.I didn't take one home with me this time. Why doesn't everyone post the order that they ran in so that someone who has a sheet can pick out the fast times? First Place 1. Chan 2. Dr. Thomas 3. Gerald 4. Chan 5. Dr Thomas 6. Gerald 7. Chan 8. Gerald Re: G-Force Karting :: November 13 - BLINGMW - 11-15-2010 I'll be happy to compile and post them if someone from each team wants to PM me: Team name Driver Names Lowest lap time for each driver Number of times they ran within 0.2 of their best time (not including their best time lap) I'll edit this post and update as I get them. I've got a sheet and can fill in the blanks if need be. If you're lazy or sheet is missing, just give me run orders and I'll do the data mining. 1 - First Place Channing - 27.166 (1) Gerald - 27.022 (7) Dr. Thomas - 26.961 (17) 2 - Pork Chop Sammiches Justin - 27.316 (11) Matt - 27.506 (4) Shea - 27.106 (9) Scott - 26.893 (1) 3 - Stratus Fear John - 27.128 Chris - 26.856 Samuel - 27.072 David - 27.651 4 - Mr. Spoiler 5 - Good Speed 6 - Bush Blue 7 - Team 10 8 - Team 4 Peter Tyson - 26.740 (2) Matt Mero - 27.828 (3) Brian (Matt Sully's Dad) - 30.965 (2*) Lincoln Jones - 27.339 (1*) 9 - Team Blumkin 10 - More G's *only ran one session Re: G-Force Karting :: November 13 - D_Eclipse9916 - 11-15-2010 Were these randomized teams, and WTF who took my name? (Mr. Spoiler?) Re: G-Force Karting :: November 13 - BLINGMW - 11-15-2010 haha we were laughing pre-race about how DJ could possibly find fault or be miffed by the event even though he was not there, and.... he is! Teams were random... ours kind of got stacked and was not violently protested. Plenty of boos and groaning of course though  Re: G-Force Karting :: November 13 - D_Eclipse9916 - 11-15-2010 BLINGMW Wrote:haha we were laughing pre-race about how DJ could possibly find fault or be miffed by the event even though he was not there, and.... he is! Ouch... Re: G-Force Karting :: November 13 - G.Irish - 11-15-2010 Even though I selfishly snatched Dr. Thomas to complete our evil super team of doom I do think that in the future that we should seed people so that we get more even teams. It wouldn't be that hard, just take times from the previous enduro then divide drivers into 4 groups, then randomly select a driver from each group to make a four-person team. New people would normally be put into tier 4. We could make an even tighter selection algorithm too if people wanted that. Would be a pretty easy thing to write up a quick and dirty program to do the team selection for us. Re: G-Force Karting :: November 13 - Machungwa63 - 11-15-2010 A couple posts earlier in this discussion we said Chris had the fastest time of the day - a 26.856 - but actually someone in Team 4 ran a 26.740. Re: G-Force Karting :: November 13 - JustinG - 11-15-2010 Peter can stop crying now...someone noticed his laptime.... At least he gave me a few pointers before we started the race. I didn't really care about winning since I had never done it and alot of you guys were fast as hell so I decided to just have fun. I'll be more serious in the spring 8) Re: G-Force Karting :: November 13 - xvxax - 11-15-2010 Me? Cryin'? Not I. Awesome event, I love karting with MM. Had a great battle with Channing during the second heat. The new karts were pretty fast and even. At the 180 near pit out some people were making their karts three wheel as they skipped along the concrete. Maybe we could try using old data for making teams in the future. We did have a super close battle for second place this time, but usually teams spread out over two hours. Not complaining about the results, (have to make that clear) but maybe that'll help some. My goodness my entire back up to my neck was sore on Sunday. Felt like I was in a car accident or something. Oof. I forgot the usual egg crate pillow and paid the price. Re: G-Force Karting :: November 13 - BLINGMW - 11-15-2010 xvxax Wrote:Had a great battle with Channing during the second heatYeah, I had no chance unless someone wrecked you! It was fun trying though. Thanks for not punting me. I agree that evening out the teams with previous results would be neat to try. Though I think any new people should get to participate in a 10 min qualifying/warmup session. Just putting them in tier 4 is a good plan though assuming they'd charge us for a warmup session. If we're *really* trying to make the race closer, I would also suggest talking more about pit rules with whoever's running the race, better utilize both pit lanes (one kart shouldn't bock both), and maybe open the pit window to 5 laps to prevent jams in the pits. It's all too easy to lose a lap there. A guy could stand at the pit entry to wave people by if a few just came in. Of course, if that's part of the game, then it should at least be suggested to the teams pre-race. Re: G-Force Karting :: November 13 - Sully - 11-15-2010 What are the numbers in ( ) after our names?
