I wish they had a smiley face big enough to express my feelings toward this.... - kwq slvr - 04-04-2009 Hey MMers that was a great show, props to all who made it happen. This show is getting better every year! Jay at Whiplash - Goodspeed - 04-04-2009 Wooooo!!! That was the best show ever...hard to believe we could all top last year but we certainly did! Everything went well, the dyno operation was safe and received approval, and we had a massive turnout of cars and spectators! I'll start with who won what: Best Domestic: late-model Roush Mustang S/C Best Import: Silver RHD Integra Type R Best Euro: Orange Lotus Elise (our very own Ryan Madden) Best Classic: Green 69-70 Mustang Best Motorcycle: RJ's Honda CB  Best in Show: Ferrari F430 Spyder And on to the thank you's: To Peter, who kept his head on straight and whored himself and his truck out all weekend for barrier/furniture/generator moving, and for keeping things tidy and organized at registration To Natalie, for doing an awesome job publicizing the show and getting some great raffle prizes for us To Taylor, for being the awesome and trusty grill master once again, he made some delicious burgers and hot dogs...nom nom nom. And our show sponsors: Bob Wade Subaru/Subaru N. America - they gave out so much free stuff its not even funny. Goody bags, posters, movie tickets, you name it. BIG BIG thank you to Ralph Priebe, Scott Powell, Ryan Thayer and everyone else there at Subaru...you spoiled us once again Whiplash Motorsports - Whiplash gave away gift certificates worth hundreds of dollars at the raffle, and we want to give our sincere thanks for that. They've been great to us...watch out for their show in May, and see them for any of your needs, especially wheels and tires! North 38 Apartments - they had a ton of free goodies to give out and they donated a dinner certificate for two at Downtown 56 restaurant! Q101 Radio - they supplied awesome advertising for us and we have to thank them a lot for getting the word out to many locals! Plus, they showed up in their van to broadcast and play music! Peter Denbigh/JMU AFV Lab - Peter came out with some really cool project vehicles and gave rides on their bio diesel trike and their electric ATV; they added some great variety to the show and we'd love to have them back again! Special thanks to Peter for letting us borrow his trailer for moving the barriers - made the whole job much, much easier Valley Dyno Service - Jimmy and his crew at Valley Dyno were utmost professionals and were a sight to see as they went about their business dynoing cars and trucks. Business was a bit modest this year compared to their target goal but certainly next year we'll be able to have them back, as their safe and secure operation means we can advertise them more thoroughly next year, with a competition and trophy for the dnyo! And last but not least, I want to thank all the MM'ers that came out, current and alumni that represented MM awesomely and gave a hand when needed! That was a blast! Patiently awaiting pictures; I wasn't able to take any of my own.... - Steve85 - 04-04-2009 A quick pic... He was very excited, we play "Need for Speed Carbon" and he always chooses the the gold Mustang, "Daddy, I want the gold muscle". ![]() Great show, congrats and thanks to organizers, volunteers and participants. - Madden - 04-04-2009 big thanks to Goodspeed and everyone else that put so much effort into the show! It was a great time ![]()

- Jake - 04-05-2009 Great show today!! I was glad to see a few new faces in the Miata crowd - we had a grand total of five there, which is four more than last year ![]() Big thanks to Walter Curt, owner of Power Monitors. He's the one who sent the Ferrari 430 out today with his security guy Blackie. The fact that it won best in show was nice, too. HUGE thanks to the officers for making this happen. It's a big undertaking and we definitely succeeded in our goal of a bigger turnout and getting our name out there. Hopefully we'll be able to keep up the attendance numbers in future years! Picture time!! I took a very nonchalant attitude toward my camera today, mainly because I was having a better time chatting with people and driving random things (like that electric ATV). Sorry the pix kinda suck. If, for whatever reason, you want high-rez of something, PM me. ![]() A boy and his truck, doing some heavy lifting. ![]() Crappy iPhone shot of MM at F&F! Couldn't get everyone in the shot so there are more people off to the right. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Speedo on Pete Denbigh's Merkur... loving the hand-written numbers ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
- PDenbigh - 04-05-2009 Fantastic job guys. The show keeps getting better and the variety keeps expanding! It's a lot of work and planning and you guys rocked it! Thanks for hosting the AFV lab's toys. We gave a total of 35 people rides on the BioTrike and the electric ATV was run down lower than it has ever been (which is wonderful). Dinner was fun too, another great idea. More pics! Peter D - BLINGMW - 04-05-2009 that trike is hilarious what diesel engine is in it? Any specs on a site somewhere? - V1GiLaNtE - 04-05-2009 Show was absolutely awesome!!! Congrats to all the winners and a thanks to all the sponsors! Jake I love how essentially took a picture of the corvette of me taking a picture of the vette'.... haha - rezarxt - 04-05-2009 It was really fun. Im sad the weekends over. - Maengelito - 04-05-2009 Pete definitely had the best entrance with the trike. Seeing him doing wheels with like 3 people on the back was outstanding. I had a great time and was sad I couldnt stick around longer for the after party "festivities" but the show was awesome. Everyone did a great job getting this thing together and I'm really impressed at how the show just gets better and better every year. Great job guys! - Goodspeed - 04-05-2009 More pics! (calling David L and RJ.....) - ScottyB - 04-05-2009 i makes me so happy to see that there is still a big foam cowoby hat involved. nice job guys...looks like it was a excellent time - Mike - 04-05-2009 Damn. Seriously looks like the best show to date, but I'll wait for more pics to make that call. Awesome job to all involved. - cribbs-tc - 04-05-2009 Man... that was a clean looking tC ~_^ Just playin lol. It was a lot of fun guys. Also, it was cool to talk to a few of you and see what everyone was runnin. Thanks to MM for all your hard work and setting up the show. It was great. Also, thanks to all the sponsors! I'll try to be at any future events. Just be sure and write about them on here (since I graduated, I don't hear about them on campus lol). - DavidL - 04-05-2009 Awesome awesome time.
