Well theres not too much you can tie into thats thick enough metal there aside from the strut mounts (yes its independent double wishbone). Unfortunately I dont know much about chassis stiffness and where to get it welded so ill probably take the car in and get their opinions, but it seems a lot of 2g guys do exactly what I said, but they could be doing it wrong.

The guy in roanoke do a decent job?

good stuff. yeah I know how much of a pain it is to work on a car located far away. I built the e30 at home in Richmond, which was a 3 hour drive each way from where I lived. Even now on the weekends its an hour to my office where I keep the car... oh well, it will change later on.

Nice man motor looks really good. Is that just a t25 mounted up? Is that what you're going to run for break in?

lol nice Scotty

Adam thats a frank 4 turbo. Using it for break-in and regular driving thats why I put a seperate oil filter just for the turbo. However, I may be going to a holset hx35 in the next few weeks.

SHE STARTED!!!

Actually, she started the best ive ever seen of an engine build or even just working on a lot of cars. Primed the fuel pump with a few bumps of the starter (didnt have my laptop so I couldnt use dsmlink to prime). I then proceded to turn the key and she fired right up. Rock solid at 1900 rpms and good oil pressure. Reached operating temperature and a rock solid idle of 900 rpms (thats what I have the ecu set to). Found a small coolant leak at one hose and a small oil leak at the oil feed line. Fixed those real quick and changed the oil.

Didnt register her so I couldnt take her down to school but ill be going up tomorrow night to get her aligned and registered and have her back down at school tuesday afternoon after I vote! Kaan I can drop off the engine hoist tomorrow (BIG THANKS TO KAAN FOR helping me out with this!)

I also want to give a big shout out to Mike D'Amico, for those that dont know, my hands were fucked up by a doctor in northern virginia and I havent even been able to write and have been typing with my pinkies for a week, so Mike helped me big time getting the car together.

Pictures/Video will probably be tuesday afters she gets washed!
