unless the race group is full (which just about never happens), they lost $270. I had no reason to believe I would be able to race, so I had no reason to register.

My point is the extra $50 they get from other late entries is probably worth more than the handful of people who decide not to run because of it.

BSR assuming they don't have the time to rebuild the curbing before the first event. I mean sure, people should just alter their line, but having a significant drop-off when you drop a wheel? Not fun.

So they are doing a second pass with asphalt on the outside portion of the track after this? This is the last weekend, why not wait until this was over to do paving?

This is just the last NASA event. BSR does military training during the week, as well as other groups use the track into the winter. So this isn't the LAST weekend of stuff at summit.
