Mine is on its last legs, I'm gonna do the Walmart switcheroo probably since I doubt MS will warranty it.
BTW does anyone else think the new 360 interface is stupid as shit? Such an obvious ripoff of the Miis and completely unnecessary to have to go through that garbage to play a game.

Yeah it's a total rip of the Mii's but I also like some of the new features.
I don't know if it's new or not, but being able to stream content from my computer to the XBOX/TV is great. So easy now to view pics and family videos and stuff...

I actually bit the bullet last week and picked up a 360 - I'm not a huge fan of the new "dashboard" it looks good, but I don't think it is as functional as the old one. The "Mii" is dumb too, I don't see their being many (if any) games that actually use them that I would want to play.
I also picked up an xbox gold account - well worth the ~ $3 a month
my roomie just got a 65" DLP - it is glorious to play on

it's the same library. if you're in to only the latest and greatest crap, its no good for you, but if you find value in classics and/or tv shows, it's badass.
and... it was free (as a netflix customer already).

The library is extremely limited compared to the full Netflix library but it has enough decent stuff in there to be well worth it. Since it doesn't cost extra over a 1 DVD at-a-time unlimited account it really is a no-brainer. It's a great way to catch up on some TV shows if you haven't seen all of the episodes.

Not really relevant to anything, but I finally bought a 360 and it arrived a few weeks ago. Uncle Sam got me a 60gb version with Forza 2, and thats all I've been doing lately...its fantastic. Next up is GTA4, methinks.

I really don't see this being relevant. Most people I know with a Wii play with the controller like normal..very few actually stand and go through with the motions, unless it's Wii sports or similar.

Well, Forza 3 just got announced today (dropping in the fall) along with Metal Gear Rising for 360 and Halo Reach (2010).
I find it sad that Forza will have gone through two full releases while Gran Turismo still hasn't gotten GT5 out yet. I know it's supposed to be the super bestest ever and all but enough is enough.

Hell yes...Forza 2 is one of the best games I've played, and its leagues and bounds better than the original which is also up there. Can't wait to see what it has to offer...
I wasn't highly impressed with the GT5 Prologue on PS3 when I played it. The graphics were amazing and the physics all felt superb, but the soundtrack sucked, the cars all still sounded vaguely like vacuum cleaners, and after a while it just didn't seem overly interesting to play. Forza keeps you coming back with unique races/challenges, good music, and overall more pleasant gameplay, with 98% of the physics.

Yeah the GT5 physics engine felt pretty good when I tried it out but at the same time GT5 was made after Forza 2 so it should be better. Hopefully Forza 3 will be taking another step forward with the physics engine.
In the demo they showed cars rolling over in Forza 3. Definitely cool, but I hope they didn't make it much easier to roll than it would be in real life. I'd hate to have the car on its lid every time I made a mistake.
And I hope they make the car painting tools easier to use. You can do some slick stuff in Forza 2 if you had the patience but it certainly wasn't easy. If they allow you to import graphics from offline it would be mfn money.
