Its got 4drs, t3h boost, and a much nicer interior than the WRX. After giving it some thought, *if* I were thayer I'd pick up an E46 coupe. They look good, generally reliable, easy to work on, fun to drive, good hwy gas mileage and becoming pretty inexpensive. And dammit, I want one as a street car. I cant give up the truck though. JDM TYTEEE! - BLINGMW - 12-20-2006 must be a prototype! hock:
- Ryan T - 12-20-2006 not a big fan of a4's and there are way to many e46 3 series around. If I was going to get a BMW it'd be an E36 M3. - Feersty - 12-20-2006 D_Eclipse9916 Wrote:...but after what Ryan has driven Camaro, supra, corvettes, its a weird animal, wrxs are great cars, but I personally would never even think of owning one) You left out GSR. - Hunter - 12-20-2006 Ryan T Wrote:not a big fan of a4's and there are way to many e46 3 series around. If I was going to get a BMW it'd be an E36 M3. I was about to say that, $13k is right in the range of a decent 95 M3. Do it! - CaptainHenreh - 12-20-2006 What are RX-8's these days? Also, what about:

Then get a $300 Honda Accord to beat around in when you are really feeling fly. Then again, you could always get a Turbo Minivan and slap a GT series turbo on it... - .RJ - 12-20-2006 TurboOmni08 Wrote:What about an older 911? That would be fun. Some people think slicing their wrists open is fun too..... That said, some day, I will own a '73 911 RS replica. My favorite car
- Ryan T - 12-20-2006 A 911 would be fun, but I need something that's gonna start when I want it to start. - Dave - 12-20-2006 i've never heard of 911s being unreliable, I figured you just get to sell internal organs when something breaks :-). - .RJ - 12-20-2006 The older cars are pretty simple actually, and easy to work on. You can have the engine out and on the ground in 30-40 minutes too. They're just old and fickle, and any engine work needed gets expensive fast because of parts cost, or paying someone to do the work. - Jeff - 12-20-2006 Ryan T Wrote:A 911 would be fun, but I need something that's gonna start when I want it to start. Thats true. Thats what the $300 Accord is for! Hell that one we had went though some dumb shit at my hands....and it ran like a champ with 189,000miles on it. Now that I have read this thread a little better I can make a few other comments. Keep the Supra. You like it, its a nice car, it gets respect, its rare. Now, if this guy offers you crazy money (whatever that is) then you just need to decide if you think the value of the car will stay high and you might be able to get that or at least a fair sum for it later and if the value falls, will you be cool with that. Don't get a Vette. If you want to roll one of those, just borrow your mom's or your bro's. EVO, WRX, or SRT-4 (oh no he didn't!) would all be good choices for a newer turbocharged fun car. The SRT lacks the AWD, but it has a high level of modifiability and from what I see can make power cheaper. Now, the problem with them for me is everyone and their brother has one (all three mentioned). Same goes for the F-bodys. I just like to stand out a little bit in my automotive tastes. I think the Supra does that for you, its simple, clean, and not everyone has one. S2000 is sweet...but any car that is less practical then a Supra should automatically be stricken from any person's "my daily driver" list as far as I am concerned (Mike can make fun of me and call me wrong for whatever reason now) I installed a v-tec controller in one the other day, its a really cool ride, but I could never be stuck in one every day. What about an MR2? A REALLY nice one? Just take all that money you get and buy a pre-pimped MR2 and pocket the rest of the money. Its still a good-ole-reliable Toyota (Did I mention they are so much better then any American car ever? Forever?) It will start when you tell it to. Its boosted. People like them and the retain the "not everyone has one" cool car mystique. I dunno, in the end....keep the Red car. - Mike - 12-20-2006 TurboOmni08 Wrote:Mike can make fun of me and call me wrong for whatever reason now i won't. it is a terribly impractical car. if you're ever going to own such a thing, now is the time. i couldn't live without the hatch for hauling shit around, though. as an only car? no thanks. - CaptainHenreh - 12-21-2006 .RJ Wrote:Mike Wrote:ew  You guys suck.
