- Dragon - 10-10-2005 If Feersty can't do it, then the BGWT could help ya out. - Andy - 10-10-2005 I just got an email from NASA telling me about the paperwork I'll need including a medical. Are they talking about a physical? Edit: I'm an idiot. It's for Racers. - bimmerboodle - 10-11-2005 .RJ Wrote:wtfh? worker credit should be given priority. They allow 5 per weekend - JohnC - 10-11-2005 bimmerboodle Wrote:.RJ Wrote:wtfh? worker credit should be given priority. Weak. - Mike - 10-11-2005 if you're flagging, just take the cash. quite simple. - .RJ - 10-11-2005 Well with NASA being a volunteer organization, it depends on the workers, officials, etc donating their time to make the event go smoothly. I would think that there would be priority placed to get workers track time when they want to 'cash in' credits. - bimmerboodle - 10-11-2005 .RJ Wrote:Well with NASA being a volunteer organization, it depends on the workers, officials, etc donating their time to make the event go smoothly. I would think that there would be priority placed to get workers track time when they want to 'cash in' credits. Not to speak for Chris or Laura but there are actual economics involved with track rental and associated costs. 5 worker credits entrants is ~~1500.00 and Since NASA is a buisness and operates like one cash flow is important. Of course the worker credits have "value" equal to that but you can't pay bills with it. I do agree that whatever the number of worker credit spots there are, they should get priority BUT they need to plan far enough ahead and make the proper arrangements. - Mike - 10-11-2005 But you're giving out cash that is equal in value to those credits... - CaptainHenreh - 10-11-2005 Mike Wrote:But you're giving out cash that is equal in value to those credits... If you're flagging, take cash. Then you're not subject to the "five only" rule, because you're paying for your track weekend in cash. Of course, I'm one to talk -- Mr. I spend every bit of NASA money as soon as it comes in. - bimmerboodle - 10-11-2005 Mike Wrote:But you're giving out cash that is equal in value to those credits...ONLY flaggers can choose cash - Mike - 10-11-2005 I know... So why would a flagger take credits? - bimmerboodle - 10-11-2005 Mike Wrote:I know... So why would a flagger take credits?see rex's post. Less disciplined or wealthy persons may like the credit option...if they plan ahead it is not really a big deal. This is the last event of the year and the only time this year it was an issue. - Dave - 10-11-2005 I would totally take the credits if I knew I was going to drive in the future and didn't think I'd have the willpower to save the money for an event later. - Feersty - 10-11-2005 Open note to all, now off-topic: I am going to be driving my pickup truck to Summit with a nice big bed. If anyone needs me to transport sh!t, PM me. During normal business hours I am in Chantilly, other times I am in Springfield. - PDenbigh - 10-12-2005 Is there a gate fee for spectators? - Sijray21 - 10-12-2005 PDenbigh Wrote:Is there a gate fee for spectators? nope, they just the need to sign a waiver only for events like hyperfest - PDenbigh - 10-12-2005 Cool, thanks. - PDenbigh - 10-12-2005 It's Wednesday and I can barely concentrate at work this morning due to thinking about this weekend. - Evan - 10-12-2005 tell me about it Pete!!
- navin - 10-12-2005 I can't concetrate at school and I have mid-terms fug it! |
