Heh, the POS 24T starts and runs every day, and only burns oil when there's no load on the car, so I'm not too worried about it. I've secured a new motor with 30k on a Nissan rebuild, but I haven't picked it up yet. I'm sure the additional 20-30 hp I'll pick up from that (mine's 145k original on it), a new front shock, and getting used to the car will net me a much faster time next time.
as for everybody getting faster in the fun runs, i did the same. I ran two fun runs, and I think I shaved another second off my actual recorded times (45.508 was on a fun run). Hope everybody has had as much fun as me.

don't stress your times! just glad to hear you made it out and had some fun.

nah i wasn't stressing about them, in fact running better at the end made my day because i felt better about the suckatude during the runs. but i did have an awesome time beside slaying my tires.
