I think it's HILARIOUS how people get into it. I went down to VT and they have ddr in their "game room" TDU equivalent and people there were hardcore and I was laughing my ASS OFF... man, DDR kids are funny.

What's funnier is the "league" that meets up every Friday & Sat night at D&B for them to monopolize the game. These guys and girls have gotten so hardcore they memorize the whole thing, there are countless people who put it on the highest level and don't even look at the screen, they just do the moves while making it look as flashy as possible, spins, hands and feet, working both pads at the same time, it's insane. I even saw one guy who did a running jump from behind that bar to start it, cleared the bar and landed the first move.

standing there with the cheap pad...lol...yea, freestylers though, (mentioned above,) are a completely different genre from us tech players..some people do both though....as for monopolizing the machine..it's f-ing MD, i told you that was one of the most hardcore areas......but yea...VT has a machine, VCU has a machine...there is fucking shit in this small town.....just a 24 hour super wal-mart......where you can get ANYTHING....except what I NEED........
just a little bit of culture gap....the ddr generation is fading out of japan....Pop N' Music and Beatmania IIDX remain strong though....8th, 9th, and 10th Styles for IIDX still have not been released for the home version....8th style is in mid november though, yey!!!!
anyways, jack, I think it's silly too sometimes, but it's fun for me and my crew from home, so we do it sometimes....we're not like the 15 year old, i hate my life, i am trying to be gothic with the emo thing, play every GODDAMN day, peoples....we just do it......
it is just a game...and we play it....we don't care what others think....
