Conversation with the driver/shipping company rep...

10AM

Rep:Good morning. I copied the customer at delivery in Moseley, VA on this text, do you have an ETA for delivery to Justin for the BMW 3 series?

Driver: Approximately 5pm

2PM

Me: Just checking in to see if 5pm arrival is still accurate

4PM

Driver: Sorry I'm here in Baltimore

Me: Ok what is your new estimated arrival time?

4:35PM

Rep: Hey it's Russ at JS Transport. Driver just called me. I think he was trying to call you but hit the wrong button. Anyway, he's out of driving hours for the day. They're limited by the DOT and he said he's going to get there in the morning with your vehicle. He's 100 miles away. Sorry about the delay, I guess it's slow going out there with the weather.

So....yea.

Fuck you Maryland!

Pretty fucking salty right now....it has been a process, that I think has taken a little too long. Considering they have had my check in hand since 3/23.

Maybe I'm just an impatient asshole...

I'm half tempted to figure out where he is and go get my damn car.

Justin schadenfreude is pretty much the best schadenfreude... well, except maybe Tom Brady schadenfreude.

Lulz. That's pretty much how shipping any large item works. My brother works in logistics and deals with these drivers all the time. All they do is lie.

This is par for the course, unfortunately.

Its like they're still using a paper map and a sun dial to estimate arrivals.

Check the mileage on the truck vs off the truck ;-)

I think I would've flown to MA to pick it up

That's a 10 hour drive. Thats a weekend trip. Thats a 641 mile 1 way trip. That's 2.5 tanks for the Fit. That's $55 one way. That's $110 total. I failed you. I shan't let your oldness win again.

BUY THE H&R SPRINGS.

+1

The days of marathon drives are over for me... at least until I retire and have nothing better to do than buy cars all over the country.
