Played a good bit of the BF3 beta over the weekend. Pretty fun all around. The beta only includes one map, one game type, and no vehicles but I still rather enjoyed it. I didn't play BF2:BC so I don't know all the differences between the two, but the ability to crawl while prone really adds a new dimension to how you set up shop. It allows you to sneak up to a prime location and keep a low profile. You've got to do a lot of careful looking before you move out in the open in this game.
One thing one of my buddies hadn't even noticed you could do, is change the fire mode on your gun from full-auto to semi auto. As you can imagine, it's a huge help when you're trying to pick someone off at range. One of the cool new attachments is the tactical light. In the beta map there's a section that is underground in a subway tunnel/station and it's fairly dark. If you turn your tactical light on and shine it in the face of an opponent it can sort of blind them and give you the advantage. Downside is that it gives away your position and sometimes it will confuse your teammates into shooting at you.
For a game that is coming out at the end of this month it seemed like it had quite a number of glitches. Most of them were cosmetic, but there was at least one time where I was definitely hitting someone and it wasn't registering the shots. By comparison, the Halo Reach beta came out 3 months before it's release date and featured far fewer bugs.
I think if BF3 doesn't implement online pass I would buy it. I guess we'll see.

I hated the PC web launcher. I could not get into a game, and i re-installed the game and origin two times. It just loaded the game and kept saying logging in and never did anything
I know they had turned off terrain destruction because people were falling though the map(said they had a retail fix though)

You've actually got to unlock that attachment for a given gun. So keep racking up kills with a given gone and you can unlock that attachment. Once you have it and equip it, you can turn it on and off by pressing up on the D-Pad. Same deal with the laser sight. You can kind of blind people with that too, but it is more likely they will kill you instead. At least they don't make it so that getting flashed in the eye with a laser light permanently blinds you until you get killed.

Played BF3 yesterday, it was fun for the short period of time I played, however im gonna stick with COD/MW. I dunno, ill probably play it somemore tonight just to get some more time in to judge it fully.
Forza 4, I LIKE, I know ill get bored with it after a couple months or so, but I do enjoy racing games, and the graphics were great. The physics seemed legit. I even hooked up the Logitech Driver FX wheel I used with Forza 2 and that worked surprisingly well. I cant wait til next Tuesday, it will give me something to do until Nov 4th.
Wouldnt mind trying out that wireless sex toy looking wheel just to see if its any good.

Forza is hard as shit on the harder difficulties. I was getting my ass handed to me. Hrmph. I'll buy it, but these shooters are gonna be eating my time.
BF3 rocks, but the client they shipped for the demo is buggy as hell. Fear not, the actual client is not the shipping one and the engine in it is well over a month old already (I know two folks very inside the project). Just hit Level 17.
Finally started Gears3 campaign last night. Screw Lee and his brother for not dropping a few missions back to play with me. Just started Act 2. Level 27 thanks to some serious Horde work.
If you sell your games, sell Black Ops now unless you plan on playing it again. I don't... It still pulls a premium, luckily.

Yea good call on Black Ops sale....let me know where you unloaded it...although I usually just keep those games around for posterity.
Dude I don't mind dropping back a few acts and playing through it again. The campaign is AWESOME.
