Maybe he was just seeing how powerful he could be via Twitter. Halting trading because of a tweet is pretty wild even for his standards. Supposedly he already had financing in place to buy everything up. I was reading about Elon's stake in Tesla and how it is going to be very hard to oust him based on how his ownership and voting rights are setup. This will be interesting.

The process is pretty simple, it's like opening any online banking account. You can just buy/sell directly with as much as you want, but if you don't already have a roth IRA, open one, contribute to that (up to 5500/yr), then do your trading from there. Then you don't have to report individual gains/losses every year, it's super easy. There's a bunch of places that offer it, I have been using Ally, which bought out Tradeking last year.

I doubled down on a few I'm holding a week ago, so TOO SOON JUNIOR for me. I might wait another day or too before I make another move. I keep seeing that this little drop is due the the fed raising rates, but that happened on Sept 26th., not yesterday.

Didn't you hear? Some elephant farted in Zimbabwe and the smell is causing tribal feuds that are destabilizing the regional economy. SO WE SHOULD ALL SELL OUR AMAZON NETFLIX AND APPLE STOCKS

I'm confused by this as well. Every media outlet is reporting that investors are not liking interest rate hike again, but I swear I listened to NPR announce that weeks ago like you said. Can anyone explain?

Bonds yields jumped "unexpectedly" because of higher rates, so people are bailing on the volatile growth stocks. I think the delay is because the bond market took a little while to react to rate increase.

Making moves. I never really considered individual funds in my IRA as I go with a Target Date funds, but the drop in AMZN was enough for me to pull out some $$$ and drop it in there.
