I hope more come. I heard there was a rebirth of the Colt Mustang, but that might just be in .380, not 9mm.

and here I thought Rex was the hater of all miniature pistols.

Looks like Beretta Nano is the new kid on the block. Gettign great reviews but it looks a little chunky to me. I guess Im still leaning towards the Kel tec. The diamondback is incredibly tempting since its so damn tiny, reliability seems suspect.

After about a 100 round break-in period and a good clean I've been extremely happy with my kel-tec. After breaking it in I have put probably 600 rounds through without any problems. It is much easier to conceal than the revolver the states issues for work. Shoots good with a bit of heavy trigger pull, but that's expected for a small 9mm.

Why buy ammo online when you can get it at Walmart for $11.00 a box?

Nice, now you can traverse the rest of Richmond without fear of being unable to fight back against the tide of gangster.

I did a shitload of online shopping for shot shells and I just couldn't beat Walmart's prices.

Mostly we buy at Walmart. If you pay attention to Cabelas they sometimes have pretty good sales. We are apart of a few gun forums so sometimes you find out when a sale is and when they have free shipping. I know we bought a metric shit ton of .223 from Cabelas for like half the cost normally. I'm not sure Walmart carries good self defense ammo. I bought the ammo I carry every day from Ashby Arms, but that's because I like to support my local gun shop, especially when the owners are my friends.

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 02-04-2012

I can't find hollow points at Walmart either. I usually head to the local gun store for those.

www.slickguns.com , to find good ammo and gun deals, compiles pretty much every ammo/firearm deal on the interwebs, posted up by people who find them.

www.Cheaperthandirt.com is another place that will have good deals randomly.

Generally the best ammo prices on the web are found at ammoman.com. All of his prices include shipping, so keep that in mind. It's shipping that kills you on ammo.

But yeah, just for plinking, unless you're buying by the 1000 round case, walmart is your best bet.

sometimes you can find sales at aim surplus or other vendors that will beat ammo man... but thats rare.

Ordered a IWB holster on Friday, was in my mailbox today. The guys at Nate Squared Tactical are freaking amazing, the quality of the holster is great, its super comfy and I am very satisfied.

$42, shipped.

Suede backing really keeps the holster from moving around, it grips to your tshirt/boxers whatever. I was concerned about movement with the single clip, but nothing thus far.

$400 now. Anyone remember what it was back in May? I feel like it was in the $350 range.

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - JustinG - 02-15-2012

Was $350ish with night sights which was ridiculous, just wasn't buying at the time. $400-450 w/o night sights is the going rate for that gun.....atleast it was at the last gunshow I was at. Which is why I went with the FNP, better deal for a very similar pistol.

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Apoc - 03-02-2012

Brand recommendation on handgun safes? I realize most of you sleep with a loaded gun tucked into your chastity belt, but I'm thinking maybe one or two of you have them.

I have my big ole long gun safe, but that's in le basement due to space/size issues. I'd like to have something that isn't two floors and about 15 seconds away.

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Mike - 03-02-2012

what is point?

honest question.

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Apoc - 03-02-2012

I am not comfortable having a firearm in my house that isn't behind some sort of locking mechanism.

I realize a safe adds time that may very well be an issue during a home invasion, but I'm willing to hedge my bets.
