Yea. When you take the pay, it turns out to be closer to $7.50. Definitely not there for the money but you have to factor in the room for the night and the fact that you're making money instead of just sitting around all day then you still get to hang with everyone and drink at night so I guess it's nice if you want to be there anyway. But like Taylor said, it gets hard to justify if you want to make more money. Like I could have worked driving the drunk bus and made almost $14 an hour or work nasa and make half that. But one was probably more fun and "cool"
I believe mid Atlantic is the only region that does this though. Think all the other regions are full volunteer. No pay at all and not sure they give you credit towards track time either but someone else would know better than me

Well I don't work on weekends and the opportunity to "make money" is worth it after all the freebies the expenses one has is gas and a small amount on extra food or beer... fine by me, especially since I enjoy being at the track and seeing everyone.
Sure, if I worked on weekends somewhere else it may not be worth it but with nothing to do once a month and only working week days it's plenty fine with me

Do it. 1st of all its free track time, 2nd of all you are getting to know everyone and how it all works. 3rd, I would rather be working a track weekend than working on a bus. For me the work wasn't real work since it's fun at the same time.
I never paid for an HPDE since my DSM was so broken through college and I worked every NASA-MA event for years :lol:

Alright, got the fender and bumper picked up.
I knew it would not fit right but god damn it's awful. So far, with a helping hand, we had to push the fender so far and hard but didn't do much as it just jammed up against the door. It just won't line up good enough. So, we managed to get the fender on minus two screws. The fender just seems slightly offset by a quarter inch where it mounts on top. It's on, but it sticks out slightly. The great thing is it doesn't really move much if a try to tug on it. Should be good enough I hope...
I then moved to the headlight which is a perfect fit if the fender was in the right position... I have the headlight on minus one bolt since the fender is slightly too far forward I can't push the headlight anymore back as it sticks into the fender and won't budge. It's on. Hopefully it will stay on for now. I haven't messed with the front bumper yet. I got a little angry so I think I'm done for today. I drove the car about 25-30mph for about 5 minutes without a front bumper and nothing seems wrong. No weird noises, nothing looked like it is leaking, the new fender and headlight stayed on just fine.
Will report back once I get the bumper on and drive it at 60+ mph for a few minutes on a back road near me. My plan for now is to get back out there in October with a truck and trailer. I'll DD this car for a month until I pick up the truck and then maybe fix the radiator support and full undertray and may look into an OE fender if there are any issues with things not staying on.

It's all on. Front bumper is slightly too long so it doesn't fit 100% right just 90% correct. But, the issue could be the fender which I think it is.
I drove it for about 15 miles today between 65-80mph. Car didn't break down, no weird noises, nothing really out of the ordinary except a tiny bit of shaking as I got higher speeds. The car in Stock form already shook slightly and it could be the same amount or not. I can't really tell.
Alignment is off ever so little. I have to hold the steering wheel down to the right enough that it is noticeable. Then again, I'm pretty nit picky about a car driving straight. It's only like an 1/8th of an inch off. More than likely toe is off from being full lock and hitting something.
Things to make it perfect enough again, full undertray and screws/clips, radiator support + whatever fasteners, inner fender well, and some plastic piece below the fog light plastic I'm missing. No idea why it even exists....
I'm going to be moving most of my stuff to Richmond this Friday. So, hopefully it lasts on the two hour journey because I'll more than likely have to come back the weekend of July 10th to grab the rest of my stuff.
Now the fun of finding a place that will deliver furniture to me as I'd rather not sleep on an air mattress forever and would like to setup my computer and tv asap... if you know of anyone with full/double bed, dresser, or desk for sale in richmond and can deliver let me know. Also, if anyone wants to help me lug some furniture around if the place charges an exuberant amount for shipping thay would be appreciated.

Firestone re-aligned my toe back into spec. In reality it really wasn't out of "spec" so to speak, Definitely off from my alignment of year ago though and the car does feel better.
The issue is my steering wheel is slightly cocked right if I want to drive straight down the road. Do any of you think I need to just re-align my steering wheel as going full lock into something might have kinked the steering wheel out of alignment? Anything else to check? The car doesn't pull on nicer roads of Richmond other than that these roads are really too shit to tell.
Edit: to be honest it's probably the tech didn't align the car with the wheel straight. I also get bugged the hell out over a perfectly straight wheel... May just leave it how it is for now and then go to a real alignment shop once this car is off the street like Mincz or Ron Ellis.

The tech didn't align the car with the wheel straight. Take it back and bitch until they fix it. You shouldn't have to pay for a second alignment because the first guy can't do his job 100%.

I've had lifetime alignment for like 4-5 years now with Firestone. It has paid for itself especially with the one in Hburg who actually adjusted to my specs 3 times. Not too worried about it as long as I know it is within specs I'm happy temporarily.
On a side note, fuck this city driving. I'm already tired of it and it has only been a week. Running 10k rear springs with a light rear on a 40 stiff sidewall summer tire is not fun. Maybe I should lower the rear damping. I miss taking the bus haha. I can't wait to get something else. A truck soon then an actual cheap DD sometime winter time. The funny thing is I have no issues with getting in and out of the seats and harnesses but I'm complaining about jarring bumps :dunno: :dunno:

you arent old enough to be complaining about this stuff yet. you have at least 8 years left before you can complain about "stiff springs" and "jarring bumps"
