Anyone heard about Kane & Lynch: Dead Men? Looks like it could be worth at least a rental...

TF2 Anyone?

Yes. I have been playing since the beta came out. Beat portal already. It was kinda cool. How do I find you on steam? I suck at steam.

In other news, my 360 just displayed the "red ring of death" the other day.

After calling Microsoft, I received my box about 3 days later to ship the 360 back. I'm told repairs will either be free, or $100. Guess we'll find out soon enough!

- HAULN-SS - 10-12-2007

I think that means you can either just put 100$ bill in the box, or a note with "free" on it.

- HAULN-SS - 10-12-2007

also: I don't have TF2 yet, just wondering if anyone had it and how good it was. I gotta get my computer fixed, and figure out a way to get internet in WV before I can play it.

- WRXtranceformed - 10-12-2007

Damn, the interw3b hasn't made its way out to WVA yet?? You ARE roughing it out there

Shit, even my little townhouse community in farmland SC has FiOS service =P

- HAULN-SS - 10-12-2007

Heh - yeah..I am trying my best to not get sattelite..cause i'm sure it blows ass for twitch games. Anyone had any experience with broadband cards? I get a full strength signal on my phone at my house (verizon), but for some reason picture messaging and stuff doesnt work, so I think it's good cell reception, but not sure how it'd do with other technologies like a broadband card.

- WRXtranceformed - 10-12-2007

Any wireless internet is going to suck balls for gaming man...

- Evan - 10-12-2007

i have both sprint EVDO and cingular HSDPA 3G wireless data cards.

thoroughput is pretty good, up to 1.5 mb, but the latency isnt very good. .1-.5 sec.

in wv, you probably dont have a good 3G signal anyway

I played forza 2 for a little while.

definately the best console sim since F355.
Physics and handling is much more realistic than the GT series, its actually fun to drive. The cars rotate easily under throttle, but there isnt much sensation of weight transfer especially when lifting (never played a sim that modelled this unfortunately)
The tracks are a little narrow but I got used to them quickly.
Overall its much better than GT4, although it still shares some of its arcadey drawbacks. You can tell the designers patterned it after GT rather than doing a from scratch re-do to fix GTs faults (like steering angle/turn radius).

the tuning and shit is meh whatever, i think its dumb. but its fun to put 55s and stripes on my car and make my forza racecar like my real racecar Smile

TF2 is a lot of fun. I am from the qwtf/Q3F games and TF2 feels more like those in physics and movement than TFC or FF (both of which i hated)

Plus TF2 looks great. Plently of players too.

SICK

sagat FTMFW.

- WRXtranceformed - 10-24-2007

Supposedly there are going to be some elements of that 3D trailer built into the game... those shots are only teasers!! =D

- WRXtranceformed - 11-01-2007

I was in Target running some errands the other day, and happened to walk across a bin full of clearance stuff. There were a bunch of 360 games, and right there in front was Tomb Raider: Legend. It was discounted to $7.50 ... it was so cheap I figured even if it sucked I hadn't lost much.

I'm pleasantly surprised! The movement vs. camera movement isn't very good, you're constantly fighting the camera that wants to switch back to a default view just to get better vantage shots in certain situations, but otherwise the game is very fun! It's a mix of action / puzzle like all of the TR games, and I really enjoy how it doesn't necessarily point everything out to you... I like being able to run around for about 15 minutes trying to figure out what I need to do to move on. There's a decent amount of gunplay, cool ways you can kill people including a matrix style bounce off of people that does more damage, and you get to waste guys while riding dirtbikes. So far it's not a bad 8 bucks spent!

So, I switched the Sprint Aircard or wahtever its called. Much improved! I get broadbandish speeds even in WV (around 1mbps down, 400 up)

Anyone have a TFC2 steamID i could download the game at home and try it before I buy it so I can see what the latency will be like? I ping like 100ms to speedtest.net, but I'm not sure how close that is to what I'd ping in game. 100 - 150 I could overcome.
