Less shock to the drivetrain... Yea that makes sense but I think that's a pretty big IF honestly and I'm probably just too pessimistic. I think it's a really cool feature though for them to offer and I hope it works out well for them. Maybe a few other manufacturers will take some notes. - ScottyB - 03-19-2008 wasn't a huge fan of the solstice roadster, but this.... ![]() ![]() pants are getting tight - HAULN-SS - 03-19-2008 I bet we see a lot of those platform on tracks in the next couple years? - CaptainHenreh - 03-19-2008 Oh good lord! That's beautiful!!! - HAULN-SS - 03-19-2008 2.9% financing on pontiac's website - go get'm edit: nevermind, thought that it was already out in that form. - ScottyB - 03-19-2008 i would rock the socks off a solstice coupe even in N/A form, i bet it would be a fun as hell car to drive. oh and in case you didn't see it, it's a targa too! - Goodspeed - 03-19-2008 Mother of God....it looks like a TVR or Marcos coupe for less than half the cost...that car is gorgeous! - JustinG - 03-19-2008 i still think the sky is mo betta, maybe they come out with a coupe version fo that...sexy time - ScottyB - 03-19-2008 white97dsm Wrote:i still think the sky is mo betta, maybe they come out with a coupe version fo that...sexy time i believe they're planning too, however i don't know if it will be able to pull off the coupe thing as well since it's so angular - Sijray21 - 03-19-2008 ...that's hot... - Mike - 03-20-2008 anybody been following setup on speed? those little cars impress me... but the show is a complete dramatized joke. - Ginger - 03-20-2008 Mike Wrote:anybody been following setup on speed? those little cars impress me... but the show is a complete dramatized joke. "Criticizing the show! Cycle to the back of the pack!" Erm... sorry. I guess it got to me. - Mike - 03-20-2008 asteele2 Wrote:Mike Wrote:anybody been following setup on speed? those little cars impress me... but the show is a complete dramatized joke. tire pressures uneven? you're off the show! - Jake - 03-20-2008 The Sol/Sky twins are okay little cars, but the convertible roof designer must have been smoking something awful, because it's torture to put that roof up and down. That being said I like this Solstice Targa dealie. I like the Sky better as a 'vert, but the Solstice looks pretty good in Targa form. - Maengelito - 03-20-2008 Mike Wrote:anybody been following setup on speed? those little cars impress me... but the show is a complete dramatized joke. i dont understand where the random rules in the middle of races come from but i do like the show. - D_Eclipse9916 - 03-20-2008 Next spec car? Somethihng I have been pondering lately, whats possibly a new "spec" car that could out. Obviously has to be cheap and many made. I think a solstice or s2000 spec class would be amazing! - Mike - 03-20-2008 s2000 wouldn't happen, aftermarket is too expensive, cars not common enough. it wuld have to be something relatively light, cheap parts, very common... i think the problem w/ the solstice is it is too close to a miata AND it isn't all too common. i don't see anything on the horizon... i'd love to see something run by an actual manufacturer... cheap crate engines, very limited prep. - Maengelito - 03-20-2008 i'm not sure about factory supported spec cars, but NASA is working on the spec3 (E36 bmw) arent they? its veeeeerrrrrryyyy tempting. - Mike - 03-20-2008 but again it'll be won by the best cheater and/or the richest person who can drive halfway decently. that doesn't excite me much... same thing has happened to honda-challenge. |
