- swvadrift - 04-18-2007 I like Al Capons, cognac dipped mini cigars lol - Hunter - 04-18-2007 The scariest thing about those videos is that he was that crazy without people really knowing it. I know he has been to counseling and whatnot, but those videos tell me he shouldn't have been trusted to live with others let alone purchase any weapons. - swvadrift - 04-18-2007 I just wish that one of the girls that he had stalked had filed charges then this may not have happened. - Jeff - 04-18-2007 Screw you guys...::opens Courvoisier VS bottle:: Cognac is my friend. SOOOO tasty. That dude was a wackjob. He was in a mental hospital in 2005 they said on the news. - NTIman - 04-18-2007 TurboOmni08 Wrote:Screw you guys...::opens Courvoisier VS bottle:: Cognac is my friend. SOOOO tasty. Cognac is OK for you, you have a badass minivan. And, don't take this the wrong way, but I don't think we needed the mental hospital information to conclude that he was a wackjob. - Hunter - 04-18-2007 How about whiskey? Everyone loves whiskey. - JustinG - 04-18-2007 CROWN FTW.... - swvadrift - 04-18-2007 I'm gonna have to go with Justin on this one, Crown FTMFW and Wild Turkey in a close 2nd - Ryan T - 04-18-2007 Crown is definantely the shit...but I've been on a vodka kick lately. - swvadrift - 04-18-2007 Never reall been much of a Vodka guy - NTIman - 04-18-2007 Grey goose is pretty damn good. But I never frown on crown  - damnit458 - 04-18-2007 I'm not sure who is or isn't a baseball fan, but... Mark Buehrle, a Chicago White Sox pitcher, threw a no-hitter tonight. This doesn't happen all that often, so its a pretty covered event. At his news conference, which was all over espn tonight, and will be for the next few days, he was wearing a Virginia Tech hat, something you will probably rarely ever see in Chicago under normal circumstances. I dunno, I just thought it was nice to see something like that amidst all that is going on. I guess just to see how far reaching all of this is. - swvadrift - 04-18-2007 WOW never thought talkin about alchohol would make me feel better, usually it's the drinkin of it that does LOL But I needed something after yesterday. - HAULN-SS - 04-18-2007 That's pretty awesome about the no-hitter. ALso - I do like whiskey - jamesons, evan williams, walker, gentleman jack - G.Irish - 04-19-2007 Eh I don't agree with the media publishing the videos and pictures and notes this guy made. His goal was to get notoriety out of this and publicity after his death, and the fact that he succeeded could be additional motivation to other nutjobs considering some shit like this. Don't give him 1 second of extra exposure that he doesn't deserve. I know news is entertainment and all but if I was calling the shots at NBC I certainly wouldn't have released that nonsense. - BLINGMW - 04-19-2007 G.Irish Wrote:Eh I don't agree with the media publishing the videos and pictures and notes this guy made. I'm a bit torn about it really. MSNBC touched on that a bit last night, and I think they're correct that the videos and such probably would have gotten out some other way if they didn't broadcast them. Even if the package went straight to the cops/FBI, they would have leaked. And they DO have an obligation to broadcast the "news", which this certainly is, and the viewer can choose what they want to see from there. So I'm leaning towards thinking they did the right thing, but yes, it's a damn shame that this guy gets to have his message and face broadcast everywhere. Could do a lot more damage. Emotional damage and tempting more copycats. I guess I'm just glad I didn't have to make the call. - JackoliciousLegs - 04-19-2007 If I were a family member, I'd want to know that there was something wrong upstairs... - G.Irish - 04-19-2007 JackoliciousLegs Wrote:If I were a family member, I'd want to know that there was something wrong upstairs...How could there not be something wrong upstairs? I already knew that way before the videos and manifesto. Sane people don't do stuff like this. - JackoliciousLegs - 04-19-2007 Good point. - Hunter - 04-19-2007 I'm on Gerald's side for this, I was surprised they would publish all the videos like that. I could understand waiting for awhile and then releasing them, but why right away exactly as that asshat wanted. I think it sends the message that if you're crazy and you think you'll inspire generations to come as a martyr, then document you're crazy cause and we'll publish it. Oh and dear cho seung-hui, A martyr doesn't kill others. jackass. |
