I didn't put it there, but there's about a 2-3mm spacer on the bottom of the driver's side mount. - ScottyB - 03-26-2007 that is preeeetty close. if it were me though...i'd just let it go til it starts bangin, then take a hammer to it. i dunno, makes sense to me. - Mike - 03-27-2007 ScottyB Wrote:i'd just let it go til it starts bangin, then take a hammer to it. that's what i tells him. - Beej - 03-27-2007 Mike Wrote:Yeah, that's the plan...I'm actually gonna have the muffler guy give it a couple hits, cause I know it'll be hard as hell to do it with the car only a foot or so off the ground in the garage.ScottyB Wrote:i'd just let it go til it starts bangin, then take a hammer to it. - Beej - 03-28-2008 Holy shit, it's been a year. Finally got an exhaust on the thing and I've been dailying it for the past few days - I seriously love driving it. But I'm moving into DC this weekend, and city living doesn't really accommodate owning two cars. Since I've been driving it, it's made it REALLY hard to decide between this and the STi, but this is gonna be the one to go. I'll probably ask in the $9k range, and I'd consider myself a 'motivated' seller. It'll be in the NoVA area for the next week or so, but then I'll be storing it down at my folk's place until I can find a buyer. Youtube! Check out how ridiculously short the gears are (e36 ZF tranny with 3.73 rear end). 2nd tops out at about 45 and I think the first three gears (starting at 10mph) last a grand total of 5-6 seconds. I really think they take away from the car. First vid is my car, second is my buddy's - he has a 3.25 rear end. 3.73 lsd: http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=578TQxGUMVA 3.25 lsd: http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=_1KM-4Irols Edit: somebody toss this in the 'Projects" forum? |
