HAULN-SS Wrote:You fags. I was clearly making too far out of an observation. I KNOW that it is possible for the hare to catch the tortoise - if anything, by observation. I was just trying to add a little fun into this thread, since the topic is 1) all over the place and 2) of a serious nature.

Don't take it personal, man. The cat is undead.

this thread rocks

Feerst, go work at a menial job at a gas station or fast food place. You'll love your next desk job and you'll probably make as much as you were at the last job with the potential for overtime. I actually took a pay cut when I transferred Sheetz from Harrisonburg to the one in Ruckersville, but it is so much better run and the people are more fun to work with, that it was totally worth it. Plus, they don't really care how many hours a week that I work, so I tend to get several hours of OT every paycheck. Who knows, maybe you'll find your calling :-p

I have been sending resumes like a madman to government contractors. I am pretty confident something will come down teh pipeline.

Sorry for the thread jack.

Rob... i dont care... i'm one of the worse hi-jackers on this board. my advise for being a contractor... get on with a well known company, buy chapstick in bulk... and stick it out as long as possible. Its going to take some time but it will be worth it in the end. Trust me Evan and I have talked about this ALOT.
