Ha, exactly.

HAHAHA

So I went to the local suby dealership today, worked out a killer deal on a 2006 Legacy GT limited. Finally got the payments and everything where I wanted them, AND got to keep my blazer. He comes back and says ok..we have a silver one taht has everything you wanted (which wasnt much, 5 speed, spoiler, etc). Say "nah I want black"...they search for an hour, cant find on anywhere on the east coast, and let the deal(me) walk out the door empty handed...>WHISKEY TANGO FOXTROT

I hate buying cars!

hmm, that surprises me. i guess they have enough going out the door that they don't need to throw you a killer deal on a silver? better luck next time dude.

I ordered my WRX from the factory, Im surprised they didnt offer that

- HAULN-SS - 07-02-2006

Well, I went today and got a BETTER deal on a royal blue Legacy GT limited, 2006 - sunroof + spoiler. I'll post pics

- HAULN-SS - 07-02-2006

Oh yeah - it's a 5 speed auto with that sport-shift or whatever. I figure that's good enouhg for a daily driven car - and from what I can tell so far, it's pretty fun.

Finally some pictures - more better ones when it's clean and its not about to pour down raining!

very nice, I'm sure you'll enjoy it

- HAULN-SS - 07-05-2006

Yeah it seems pretty quick. Boost kicking in reminds me a lot of my 4bbl carb in my other car opening up - same kind of feeling. Handles miles above any car ive ever owned. I think I made a good choice. I got 300+ miles out of my first tank of gas, which was the goal (that, and to have more than 200hp). They threw in a Road & Track copy that had some specs and stuff on it - 0 - 60mph in 5.1, 1/4 in 13.7 @ 99. Those are about the only "straight line" specs, and the rest dont really apply since it was a spec.B they were testing which has a stiffer suspension.

- HAULN-SS - 07-22-2006

Just as a 3 week update: I pretty much love it so far. The only thing I dont like is the inefficiency of the automatic - I get way better gas mileage when I shift myself. The auto wants to shift out of first at 5500+ RPM's every time, unless you REALLY baby it. Thats not too much to complain about, except its a little jerky because of the dramatic change in RPMS when it does shift. The car handles. Ive never driven an AWD car, so they are probably all like this, but damn, it's pretty awesome. It's quick too, and has loads of top end torque - easy to pass someone on 81 without downshifting. The electronic manual shift mode is tons of fun - and seems to gain better MPG if you use it all the time - see above. I hate to say it, but I may have to take this to an autocross or two - I feel like I want to see just how well it can do - and me too, since Ive never driven one before. I always figured my white car would spin out since I've never done it before, and fuck the paint up on a cone or something - dont think I have to worry about this car doing that. The End.

- ScottyB - 07-22-2006

glad you like it. and if you like it now, wait til it snows

i'd definitely auto-x it, if anything just to feel what the car does when you rag on it. i have a feeling it will surprise you in a good way.

- HAULN-SS - 07-22-2006

Yeah - too bad I'm a newb at driving in non-straight lines. I feel like it would do pretty awesome as long as I used the manual shift, and kept the RPMS above 3 grand the whole time.

I cant wait til it snows - my driveway is pretty tricky in the winter, so that'll be my personal test I suppose. 30* uphill and a pretty sharp turn, not banked. When that gets about 1" of ice on it (it's in the shade too), it's real easy to end up in a ditch on either side unless you've driven it a lot. Hopefully it wont leave me regretting I sold my 4WD, hah

- Nis01 - 07-22-2006

Yea, Torque is nice and those GTs have plenty to get around. Most everything is STi compatible if you want to swtich parts around. Good luck with everything. Get out on the auto-x.. like Scotty said, I think you will be surprised with its performance.
