Them:So you know Jay?
Me: Yes, we actually did a project together where we made a simulation of a gas station and made people get out of their cars and get gas, air, snack, etc. It was pretty complicated!

We got a C+ on that didn't we? God I hated that project and that professor, ew~

the project wasn't that bad, it's just Dr. Henriksen was maticulous about little shit not related to the actual content of the project (any ISAT(IKM/E&M)-er would know). Which i admit is our fault, but we're talking like specified margins that are not windows default....retarted. She is a good teacher though, i will give her that, i actually enjoyed her class despite the 18 near-straight hours we spent in that lab. She was just difficlt. We actually got a B- on that project, i was lucky enough to get a B+ as a final grade though :-D, the final bailed me out (aced it baby 8) ).

if i could do it all over again though, i'd go the E&M route in addition to the IKM. IKM was kinda BS, more manufacturing would've helped me.

They wanna give me $30,000, and it is far away. I may take it. Still not official though

dude, no offense but 30k ain't bad all things considered. you gonna be living at home? if so that's worth like 50k living on your own.

yeah living at home, probably paying a little bit of rent to the parents every month while I live here.

- .RJ - 09-10-2005

Make them a counter offer... $30k is too low for an entry level job in the DC area, IMO. You can make more than that as a temp worker or waiting tables.

- Mike - 09-10-2005

30k is worthless in this area. it wouldn't be a matter of whether you WANTED to move out or not, you'd be forced to live at home... congrats on your first real offer, though!

- Dave - 09-10-2005

i'd love to make 30k here in the burg at one job :-)

- ScottyB - 09-10-2005

not to get into anything personal but what should you be making in NOVA to live reasonably well? i'm just curious.

- Mike - 09-10-2005

minimum i'd say is 40. nothing personal, nobody told you what they make Tongue

- .RJ - 09-10-2005

40k is enough to live "reasonably" well on your own.

- Feersty - 09-10-2005

Yeah I am going to have to wait a while for that 2004 Suzuka Blue, but it will make it all the more sweeter once I get it.

- Evan - 09-10-2005

30k isnt enough to live on. Hold out for something better. I know its tempting, but the economy is bumping in this area, you should be able to get a 40-50k job relatively easily.

- REED - 09-10-2005

I really don't think 30 would be THAT hard to live by - if you are living by yourself deff. but with a roomate or two it should be managable, one of my roomates is doing fine making that much, although he does have the cheapest rent

I dont know about 50k right out of school..... unless you already have a clearance or some serious connections.
