"rear strut bar for harnesses" ... that will get you killed.

Sorry, half cage and rear strut bar. Safety first over hear [emoji3059]

When I do get all the "safety" stuff, I will get semi-professional people to help me with the install.

Went to the Fortune Auto open house this weekend. Not sure how long the car is gonna sit now, but it has been a great season. Other than boost issues, oil leaks and constantly ripping the bumper off, the car has been non stop reliable.

Till next season i guess. The last pic is for the memes [emoji23][Image: 87f9b27aa31f0332dc5cf96a3546843d.jpg][Image: e855a2586942133bbf65dbca4558159d.jpg][Image: 3f18ff8951640539f496cfd25ea35bfb.jpg]

How many actual miles have you put on this car? Calling it reliable seems to be a stretch.

Since the coils were rebuilt, around 700. So, relatively reliable considering its past lol

I put over 1,000 miles on my BMW X5 and didn't rip anything off of it, even when I tried!

Hey coming from spewing coolant, pouring oil and smoke, tie rods falling off and over heating every time is goes more than a mile; to driving from va beach and back, to work 3-4 times a week, and sitting for 3 month come back go to two shows isnt bad for a car that is less than an inch off the ground.

Here's what's next for the upcoming season.

I have decided to make the color palette black, silver, and turquoise.
I'm going to take out the plaid fabric and do houndstooth. The aero I ordered, just side splitters and canards, are turquoise. I'm gonna powder coat the lugs and brakes turquoise. The brakes I havent decided whether to paint brembo or the JCW logo on them.
Next would be to paint the whole car, which is going to be the same midnight black with turquoise flake. Havent decided if I'm going to paint the plastic.
I want to get the coils redone to be ready to make the fitment perfect front and rear once the wheels are cut open and offset is fixed.[Image: 2d48b5d24b3a0959e666224bc9ea9ff8.jpg]

Well things took a dramatic turn,

I am currently trying to sell the works and have ordered Blitz Technospeeds. Theyre way too big for the car, im going to try to fit them with the stock body. I doubt they will be able to go on without being visibly unsafe. I may end up putting wider flares on the car. The ones I am looking at are 45mm wider and follow the same plastic lines that are currently on the car. If I do have to go wider, I will raise the car up a bit to have a different style. I have the houndstooth for the interior, which is black and gray. Im thinking I need something to brighten up the interior, possibly a different color seat set up.

As for what is next, I am sure it will take a long time to set up the wheels to work.[Image: 4961e602c543a1e8aa1aeb89849db913.jpg]

Only took a month, but the wheels are on and the car is working. I still need to raise the rear atleast a quarter inch and shave the fenders some more. The fronts clear with no issues, the endlinks are pushed against the inner fender, so im going to swap my alta ones out for some better quality ones, to have to clearance. I still need and alignment and an inspection sticker, so the car won't be on the road for a bit. I also need to get new springs and valving for the rears, think about 16k. Though if i got above 12k, I might redo the fronts as well.

Still need to work on the interior fabric and one of my valve stems are leaking.

A lot of work left before the car is ready to be back at my place, but things are looking good.[Image: d9f043a5e813e0684a1295b47a15054b.jpg][Image: 3e0ce4d4892e37863ac8ce0d15dd5556.jpg][Image: 84d1d35d46d49af7d10e1d47df9686b9.jpg][Image: 28e754d9e9b07b6b1ca5c92b3f73c066.jpg][Image: 119297c269837d21922173f6cc9eae80.jpg][Image: 49ac3321b5d5f7b544f0a5730aafded2.jpg][Image: 82acdbecb619cdeafa494b8fc2f60e03.jpg]

Do places give you a hard time trying to get that inspected?

Just realized I haven't updated this in so long, so here we go.

The car has been sitting for about a year now, all of the suspension and fitment has been dialed in. Took it for a test drive about 4 months ago and had a lot of smoke rolling out the back, assuming it passes a compression test, which no reason it shouldn't, I have a good amount of parts stacked up to fix things and do some upgrades.

Top end rebuild:
JMTC Super 42 Turbo
Intercooler
All new Intercooler Piping
New Turbo coolant and oil hoses
Valve Springs and Seals
Colder plugs
Cryo hardened Timing chain
Lastely I need to send the ECU off to California to get done, but will wait for when the car is back together.

What are you driving these days, if not the mini?

Turning to the dark side, Show car build - Rupertfl - 07-12-2021

The PT blew up on 95 while I was working up there, but I got a basic ranger. 5 speed, vinyl flooring, 2.3L, and 2wd. Needed good gas mileage and something indestructible. Only thing I did was throw some speakers and a radio in it and I'm thinking about getting some more aggressive tires in the future, but we shall see.[Image: 13f9d7cb4a4323b2954c17baf427b768.jpg]
