The Cap Ale in Innsbrook is always empty cause it is surrounded by a business park, not housing. Oh and it is garbage compared to the other 2 in RVA.

We don't all have to sit together....its not like you can actually talk to everyone outside of the group of 5-6 closest to you at a 30ft table.

Looking at prices, what's on the menu and available seating, it seems I've narrowed it down between

Which of those is bigger? I really don't want anyone to have to wait. We just need it to be simple to get there and eat and have everyone being able to talk. If we do somewhere where we split into small groups, then new students aren't hearing what the alums have to say. The appeal of one big table is you get stuck with new people.

The buzz and Ned's on broad is probably bigger. Maybe? Idr the boulevard ones inside size though. Idk. Ive only been to halligans on New year's Eve and it was a shitty experience but so is everywhere on New year's Eve.

I guess you want to stay near 64 or 295 so everyone can jump back on the highway after?

Sure, no one was there but we didn't have to deal with waiting, had good service because no one was there, they split checks no problem, had a good beer selection, etc... Don't know why I'm even typing this because I have to drive up to that dark place to the North right after karting.

Alls I'm sayin' is, I remember we used to eat at places in Short Pump that were still convenient, and didn't feel like we were eating in the back of a morgue. Of course we'd all be eating with good people, but having some atmosphere is good too, nomsayin?

If you all want Short Pump I'd recommend BJ's at Short Pump. Sat over 20 of us from Cap One with no issue with a reservation/call-ahead.

Edit: Also Plaza Azteca is solid. Never had a really big party only like 10 people so not sure there.

I'd really like to keep as many people as possible together. Get the new and old people together. We all know smaller groups will end up being people that know each other unless someone (alumni) make an effort to split up and take on new people. Even then, new members are really only meeting one or two new people.
